can the GM's of ottawa, washington and boston (i think)...or whoever needs to play NJD PM me? i want to play the games soon. but i've never seen you guys on.
also how are we going to deal with this? if i want to play the games, but as mentioned above the other GM's haven't been on is it my responsibility to track them down and make sure they are ok with me playing the CPU or is it their responsibility to let me know i can play the cpu?

Great point stamp, over the last week I have only seen 3 of the people I need to play and since our times didn't seem to match up I put mine on CPU play yet only 1 of the other teams had.
Jobo what happens when 10 days pass and teams still haven't played games?

I totally get Igitang's feelings about family time. This league is awesome but the time required is heavy for certain people. It literally gets all my free time for about 4 nights out of the week. If somebody quit on me it would be pretty big.
Your psn name is your brand. You just don't go running around all willy nilly letting unreliable little brothers use it! We do need to provide the benefit of the doubt to people at first. There will be a time when somebody is losing and their internet craps out or their game crashes. It'll look bad, but until a pattern can be established a certain degree of leniency should be afforded.
People who don't respond to messages should also be addressed. Perhaps Jobo comes up with a rule... something along the lines of if you don't communicate within the first 2 days of the 3 day week your games are fair game for cpu competition.

2 of my games have been CPU games. Doesn't bother me any. If people have it turned off and will only play human games then this will be a very long season.
For anyone to expect another to have the same schedule as them is extremely unrealistic. I could have easily got in all my games this week if CPU control was on but it was only on in 1 of the 7 teams I was scheduled to play. As such out of fairness I simmed the game with the user and got spanked. Would I have lost to his CPU? Nope but to me this is supposed to be for fun I mean it's a video game after all.

Yea.. the 2 days to establish a plan is a good call, then the 3rd day if nothing is done, whichever GM is on by X-time is allowed to play the game vs CPU or it is sim'd.
Also, if a pattern of lack of involvement is established, with no consult with the commish, perhaps replacing a gm needs to be considered. I cant see that being the issue.
But I can tell you from my experience last night, playing in 2 connected leagues and an EASHL team, theres alot of people messaging you trying to get you to play and its hard to manage at peek hours. So its something to consider when GM's already dont have much time to play the game as it is, connected requires a certain amount of involvement that every GM should be prepared to contribute. Im not saying a piss or get off the pot, type thing. Im just saying realisticly this league takes a bit of commitment.

C NIK ANTROPOV OVER 81 - ON BLOCK
If you need a playmaking center who can keep control of the puck and not get pushed around easily, he needs to be considered.
Hes not lightning fast but when he gets going hes quick. Hes solid defensively and has a good shot.
I would love to keep em but I need to make some cap room. Hes earning $3.4 in a 4th line winger role for me.
Im not looking for a windfall or young budding star. Im looking for a decent utility RW with a reasonable cap hit.

This. I think we all need to enable CPU and sim games. I did this and one of you guys played my CPU and I won the game.
Any games that aren't played by the end of the "round" will be simmed anyways, so we might as well allow us to play games when both players can't seem to connect online.

I cant speak for anyone else, but I would prefer to leave mine as Human Vs. Human. If the game will get simmed if I dont manage to get it in, then it gets simmed. I think this is one thing that the individual should have control over.
Sadly, I have plenty of time on my hands ATM as im not deployed currently. So no reason someone cant get me to play a game. They may just have to wait until im done my current game. LOL.
So depressing... I need to go hunt some pirates...

Well that's true, it's up to the individual for sure. For me I took a bunch of time tweaking my AI and strategies for each line, so that's why I don't mind seeing that aspect of my team succeed in CPU vs. human games =)
Go hunt down Bettman and get his ass in line!

As for Bettman... The Canadian Federal Gov't, DND, Human Int. Dept., CSOF and JTF2 hopefully already have something in the works.
As for AI, im having a hell of a time getting my AI settings to stick. I import my AI, and go to play and my strats are totally different.. I dont get what im doing wrong.
EDIT: I got it- If you already have loaded a AI in anything else, you need to clear the AI to default then load the proper AI file.

In regards of CPU games coordination, I agree with you guys in regards to how it should be handled.
By default it'll be best for every GM to have their schedule enable CPU and sim games. Therefore in the case a user is away, they won't have to worry about logging in to adjust the settings, and there would be no issue in a player being able to play games against the CPU since it's already set. If players are going to be playing their games, they would just adjust each game to human participation.
Games against CPUs would require confirmation with the GM. Either by posting in this thread or sending PMs to the GM. A 2 day grace rule is fair. If the GM doesn't give an update on their status after two days into the game week schedule, the user is can proceed with playing the game against the CPU if they wish on the third day.

I'll follow up with them for response and if need be they'll be removed from the league and replaced with waitlisted player.
