Unfortunately we live in a society that allows cheating to flourish. I am not sure if I had posted this thought or not yet - but I kind of feel sorry for Lance - clearly he is so driven that he feels that he has to cheat in order to win.

Not sure if this guy is the best guy to quote, but I liked the point he made about raising money for charity at the end of his article. http://www.calgarysun.com/2013/01/18...strong-scandal
There are far worse human beings in the world than Lance Armstrong - he didn't kill, rape or assault any one. What he did was wrong, and he is not a great role model for kids... but he is human. It would be nice if he could be contrite and learn from his mistakes, be a better human, and maybe help others, but that is not always how the world works (as much as we want it to).

Nicely done, regardless of how you feel about the situation

Cyclist Lance Armstrong will not cooperate with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's investigation of performance-enhancing drug use in the sport, an Armstrong attorney said Wednesday.

USADA had given Armstrong -- who publicly admitted such drug use last month -- until Wednesday to decide whether he would cooperate under oath with investigators as part of a possible path to altering his USADA-imposed lifetime competition ban.

That's because he lied his ass off in the Oprah interview and wants to avoid further lawsuits. Go crawl in a hole and die you piece of garbage.

This is one thing I agree with him on. I wouldn't participate in anything that wasn't a comprehensive investigation of the whole sport. Everyone was doping.

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong tweeted Thursday that he's handed over the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Summer Games, adding that it should be at International Olympic Committee headquarters in Switzerland "asap."
