Imagine trying to stop McFadden/Felix Jones/Hillis in the same backfield. Arkansas was tough.

Pretty brutal game when the best plays are a FG and a punt

Fans chanting for Tebow. Can't be any worse than Orton.

It's very surprising that both Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman have starting jobs in the NFL. I assumed they would either be backing up, or in the CFL by now.

Not a pretty game but it's been a long time since the Raiders started of 1-0 so I'll take it. McFadden has to be the most unheralded running back in the league. All we ever hear about is Johnson and Peterson but nobody rips off big plays like Run-DMC.

yep, the big difference between Run DMC year 1-2 and now is he is initiating contact and just trucking guys

I think he is right up there with AP being a full package RB, tons of speed but also tons of power

D-Line looks even better than last year as well, tons of depth on it too so they won't tire

Wow was that ever terrible to watch. Kyle Orton is a joke. Terrible throws when he remembered to hold into the ball, and no other facets to the Broncos game.

Glad I'm not a Broncos fan..

I suppose the comfort for Broncos fans is that they aren't the worst team in their own Division this year.

I have to admit that as much as I mock Al Davis...I'd probably have the same type of team he does if I owned an NFL team because I like my freak athletes. I'm surprised the Raiders only ended up winning that game by 3 points, looked like it was going to be a lot worse than that in the first half that I saw.

That punt return TD really made the game closer than it should have been and the Raiders took a lot of penalties. The players and coaches change but it seems as soon as a guy puts on that silver & black jersey they lose all discipline.

The Pats looked pretty solid last night, still some serious issues to figure out on defence, but the offence will hide those scars for awhile. If they do get the D cleaned up watch out.
Thoughts on last night.

How fast was the Pats offense? Their longest TD drive took 4:06. They had five of them

Tom Brady is simply wow. As troutman mentioned earlier..he is the surgeon general. Watching him run the no huddle was great, he had the dolphins scrambling all night long.

Wes Welker is great! A 99.5 yard pass and run play with a straight arm beauty that was nothing short of awesome. How the fish let him get away is beyond me.

The Tight ends. Both Gronk and Hernandez are unstoppable. Both have great size and speed and with Brady watching the match-ups these guys are going to have a monster year.

The bad?

Ochocinco? Almost a no show last night, but Im sure that once he gets on Brady's page we will see some hilite reel plays.

The so-so

Haynesworth. He got in and disrputed Henne a few times, however you can clearly see he is still out of shape. Not Redskins out of shape, which is a great thing. Im hoping by mid season BB will have him back in full gear and he will be a very disruptive force for the 20-25 plays he gets a game.

The Fish.

Still had an unusual stench to them. Henne looked decent at times and questionable at others, but better than last year. Bush looked ok, he had a few nice runs. HEY, did you see Will Smith and Marc Anthony?
Fergie? Really? Fergie? That was almost Roseanne bad.

Looking forward to seeing how my Chargers square up against the Pats next week in Foxborough. Going to be a tough test

How can you say Fergie's bad? Who cares about her singing.

Considering the Pats usually have trouble with the Fish, I say things looked pretty good for them. The D needs work and so does everybody with a shortened pre season. Fat Albert and Occhocinco haven't even fully integrated into their lineup yet so I think they still have much upside.

Ummmm...because she is a singer?

She absolutely butchered the national anthem...and that deserves scorn particularly because she does sing for a living and all that kind of stuff....nevermind that (IIRC) she owns part of the fish.
