Haha. Well played. Little Brother didn't fare too well against the Black Shirts though. Big 10 is up in the air right now IMO.

Yeah, a tough game for sure. That Nebraska D looks to have hit its stride. It'll be an interesting finish, that NU-UM game will be a big one.

Big Ten
Pen State has close to a lock to play for the Championship.
While the other division is a log jam for 1st Nebraska, Michigan, and Michigan State all at the top.

The Michigan vs Nebraska in 4 weeks will decide it I think.

It's pretty much guaranteed to decide it as I think NU gets through PSU next weekend, although it'll be a tough one for them. I don't see MSU losing again, they play the 4 weakest teams in the conference to finish the season, so basically a UM win in that game puts MSU into the title game. If NU runs the table they'll be off to Indy.

I have no idea how the other division will play out, there's a lot of possibilities there.

That's the funny/awesome thing about college football, a defense (Nebraska) gets manhandled, then loses it's best player (Jared Crick) and comes together as a unit and actually is better than before.

What happens in Happy Valley when all the Nebraska fans show up? Does the white-out look like a bad case of the measles?

Nice piece from Wright Thompson at ESPN about the Cat in the Hat, LSU Coach Les Miles:

The Les You Know...

Also, a good one from Grantland:

Reconsider The Hat: On Saban and Miles

Looks very likely that Ryan Broyles college career is over after a knee injury today against Texas A&M.

Simply put, one of the greatest and THE most prolific receiver in NCAA history.

I think Nick Saban has lost his mind.

The long kicker came up short from 50 so lets use the short kicker to try from 50!

I don't think they should have kicked a FG from 52.. it's impossible from the evidence in the game. I know 4th and 20 is long but just go for it. They've got a RB that can break a screen.. or get a cheap defensive holding or illegal contact penalty, you never know!

What a game! I hate when it comes down to things like missed kicks, but a win is a win, I guess. Those were some wicked defenses out there tonight.

I'm already nervous about the Arkansas game...

Edit: What a woofer by Nebraska today.

Disappointing game to watch as a neutral party because Alabama clearly looked like superior team out there to me. Simply a case of Bama losing the game more than LSU winning it.

With Alabama's defense completely shutting down LSU I have no idea why Saban kept running out the long range kicker. And then throw the other guy in from 50+ afterwards. That could've easily been 3 balls down inside the 10 and Bama is looking at 3 more possessions with the ball back near midfield.

Then you throw in Maze letting that ball over his head on the punt near the end of the game (which he would've returned to near midfield) and the horrible mistakes in OT (dropped pass, bad penalty, overthrow on open target, and then falling down for a sack) and you're easily looking at the difference in the ballgame. I guess you have to give credit to LSU for not making those mistakes, but you got to think those are one time things for Alabama and it cost them the season most likely.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Arkansas take down LSU though. Arkansas has the explosive offense and LSU's aggressiveness could work against them if they don't make the plays.

I was actually super pumped up for this game despite not having any allegiance to either team. I know SEC football is all about defence but I'm just wondering how anyone could find that game enjoyable even with the overtime. To me it was just flat out boring with two very one dimensional offences being shut down by two very good defences.

This whole week was terrible, all the RV lots don't usually fill up until late thursday and this week they were full Tuesday. It took 2-3 times longer to get around town and the idiots that didn't know where they were going made it worse. Other than that it was a great game.

I hear this every week but yet LSU never loses. They just find a way.
Yesterday a friend of mine flipping back and forth between games on CBS and ABC told me that OK State would beat LSU by 20. I say give me that bet anytime. OK State wouldn't be able to score 20 let alone win by 20.

The more time that passes the more bummed I am about that loss. Why did he have to let go of that ball
