More on this ....

Washington (CNN) - A white diplomatic van shown plowing into anti-government protesters in Cairo might belong to the United States, officials said, adding that 20 such vehicles have been stolen in Egypt amid the unrest.
The YouTube video, dated January 28, is one of three from recent days showing drivers seemingly purposefully ramming their vehicle into demonstrators in streets that appear to be around Cairo's Tahrir Square.
The footage caused an uproar online, some of it related to the fact that the van appeared to resemble a U.S. diplomatic vehicle.
"Obviously, we've seen some of the reaction on YouTube and other forums, which is why we're trying to get out and knock this erroneous story down," U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Friday afternoon.

On Friday, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo sent a statement to Al Jazeera after the satellite network posted and linked to the YouTube video. "We have seen a video that alleges a U.S. Embassy vehicle was involved in a hit and run incident that injured dozens in Cairo," the statement said. "We are certain that no embassy employees or diplomats were involved in this incident. On January 28, however, a number of our US Embassy vehicles were stolen. Since these vehicles were stolen, we have heard reports of their use in violent and criminal acts. If true, we deplore these acts and the perpetrators."

We know that the MB is completely anti-israel, they don't hide it at all.
I don't have any doubt that Iran would have a reason to lie about something that he'd say.
Considering that there is a link between the MB and Iran to the point that Iran chooses to ignore that the MB is Sunni and Iran is predominately Shia.

Iran is "prepared for war with Israel" not because they are going to pre-emptively strike Israel, but because Iran knows that they are the new Iraq/Afghanistan and America/Israel will use any dirty tactics to convince the gullible public that they need to invade/strike Iran and destroy their nucelar power industry....because they "might make weapons of mass destruction".

mikey, you misread, Muhammad Ghannem isn't speaking for Iran, he's speaking for the Muslim Brotherhood, he's their leader.
When he's talking about shutting down the Canal thats what he would want to see from Egypt. He also wants Egyptian's to prepare for war with Israel.
He does not speak for the Iranian government and is not a member of their government.

This Egyptian reporter, Mona Eltahawy, sees this as a revolt for freedom and you can't blame her for being enthusiastic.

She also gave an impassioned talk tonight on Bill Maher although I couldn't find a link.

U.S. Negotiating Mubarak's Severance Package
U.S. officials opened negotiations with Hosni Mubarak Tuesday, offering him a severance package worth $20 million upon termination of his employment. "We are all thankful for the hard work and long hours President Mubarak put in over the years, and hope our discussions continue smoothly," said senior U.S. negotiator Frank Wisner,

What a joke. A normal severance package for a dictator is a bullet to the head. He's getting off easy.

Iran is trying to paint this as an Islamic revolution within their own borders. Of course they're going to say the Egyptians are going after Israel. I think its kind of funny the cynical people will grab on to anything that says the MB is bad, regardless of the source.

That's not hat he said.
He was talking about Iran's possible motives, not his own.

I'm blind? Hey, did they end up finding any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?
Nope, sure didn't. But after the war some Anglo-American oil companies sure got some nice contracts to operate inside Iraq.
Iran is not the bad guy that everyone assumes them to be. I don't see them as an aggressor despite any typical media-hyped phony rhetoric that come from their leaders. The media is conditioning the minds of Americans to consider Iran a dangerous threat to the world (well, mostly Israel), but I don't buy it.
This story is like groundhog day, over and over. I wonder if Osama Bin Laden will pop up in Iran somewhere soon...

FFS...the MB THEMSELVES have said repeatedly over the last few days that they will not acknowledge Israel as a soverign state and that they consider them nothing but occupiers of Palestinian land.
THEIR words...no one elses. Not sure why you refuse to acknowledge that this group has really bad intentions for Israel. They do, and they don't hide it....in fact it's a reason why they are so anti-Mubarek. They are pissed that he has held peace with them for the last 30 years.

Except when they are oppressing and murdering their own citizens who were peacefully demonstrating after a sham of an "election" I guess.
Other than that...yeah they are just an awesome government.

Yeah they are an oppressive regime. The only people they are reppressing are their own people however, and is that any of America's business?
Meddling in the business of other nations is what creates hatred toward America.
