Tonight's prospect stats:

- Reinhart with 1 goal and 1 assist, +2.
- Leach with 1 goal, +1.
- Ferland with no points, -1. I'm really starting to worry about him. No points in the last 2 games.
- Baertschi with 1 goal and 1 assist.
- Wotherspoom with no points, -1.

Anyone else excited to see a Flames group with the following LWs....Baertschi, Ferland, Bryon.

Speed, skill and scoring. Center depth looks good too...now we just need some RW depth.

Yes I am cautiously optimistic. Even tough things aren't looking good now for the big club there are some positives to look forward to.

I wish my center ice package included watching the Heat games. I would love to watch everygame of theirs for the rest of the year. Thanks posters for keeping me informed on our prospects.

You can get AHL Live, but it's a hefty price to pay. $200 I think. So, unless you're mad rich...

Which reminds me, if any of you aren't going to the Heat game at the 'Dome on February 9th, you can watch it for free on AHL Live.

As for our RW depth, it does look pretty thin. Right now, it's Nemisz and that's it. But the bright side is, that gives Nemisz a better opportunity to make the big club next season (or this season).

^^ That was a good interview. I love the fact that Ward is the coach of our prospects.

He makes great points. For example, his explanation of the benefits of early season road trips. He really preaches a team mentality and by all accounts this is a tight knit team, which seems like an anomaly for an AHL team due to high turnover rates. However, this team seems to genuinely play as a team hence Troy's comments about the AHL Player of the Week awards being as much a "team award" as it is a player award.

Holland is a right winger no?

Also, I remember when Bartschi was drafted he said in an interview he could play either wing.

Although it's been easy to ridicule the Flames this year, and rightfully so, it's been great to see success for the Heat. There may be not alot of stars on that team, but at least the Flames are putting in an effort with development by hiring of a fully stocked coaching staff, especially a goalie coach. Why hadn't they done this before?

I have to say that I visit the "Back Burner" more now than..what's it called...Fire on Ice. And not just because the Flames are playing poorly, but because we have a few guys worth following.
