What the hell is with Robles? He came from the Twins. Why was he acting like such a dickbag. He was even staring down the bench as he walked off the mound.
Every single Red Sox is a deplorable ####. I can’t wait for their implosion.

Also. That was probably the best inning since the Edwin walk off. Or maybe even the bat flip. What a scene. Those 15000 fans sounded like 50000. Amazing stuff.

I'll say it again - Manoah should still be in there

Yeah probably a strong case for Manoah to be in there with a double header tomorrow.

He was at mid 90s pitches and was hardly doing that well. I don’t see taking him out in a blowout to be an issue. Tomorrow is yes a double header but you have 2 horses going. I’d be surprised if either of them doesn’t go six. Plus they can bring up a pitcher for the double header as well.

93 pitches, he's 22 (or 23, whatever), 7 run lead, and they play 2 tomorrow
he should have been in for another inning

So? They have enough relief pitchers with all starters doing well lately. Double headers are only 7 inning games now. He didn’t pitch at all last year and they’re not going to push him into the 110 pitch count in a 9-2 game. Manage like you want I guess but there is a reason pitchers aren’t pushed like that anymore, especially not in a game where you don’t need it anymore.
Now Borucki has been doing bad and he at this point is probably the first reliever off this team now, but if you’re playing scared with a 9-2 lead well I just don’t agree with it.

it isn't about playing scared, it is about minimizing the use of the bullpen, when you have 3 huge games in the next 48 hours

I don't think it's an issue. But worth a conversation. Manoah is a young stud who can probably throw 110 pitches without his arm falling off. Then again, when he was pulled the Jays hadn't scored 9 yet and if Montoyo knew what was coming, he might've thrown him out for another inning. I would've because I don't believe in the 100 pitch boogie man.
It just interesting because it's the first game of a 4 game series with a double header tomorrow and Borucki sure sucked lol.

So you should be happy they used Borucki and Dolis tonight instead of tomorrow. Anyway I wouldn’t have minded having Manoah pitch but have the you’re pulled if you give up a base runner thing but I don’t think it’s that big a difference. Jays starters have all gone deep lately and if anything the relievers haven’t had enough innings lately since they’re still keeping a stocked bullpen. Wouldn’t be surprised if they bring Sneed up for tomorrow though.
