The playoffs is a marathon, not a sprint. The team that wins doesn't win purely on talent alone, but also attrition, and luck factoring in at times also.

It's a two month race of survival. If you're the last man standing, it's well earned no matter what.

But this years playoff feel different. Doesn’t seem to be many good teams. We are seeing 2 awful teams here and 1 will make the western final.

That's the fault of the stupid divisional playoff seeding. The pacific has been butter soft for years now but because of the format it's almost guaranteed to have one of the teams in the WCF. In the old 1-8 format the Oilers get bounced by the Avs in the first round

I don't think this can be overstated. The playoff format is so ####ing stupid. I'm not interested in watching the Oilers and Kings play 4 times in 5 years or 3 or 4 or whatever the ####

It’s why it’s so annoying. Everyone is screaming for a change back to 1-8. The best player of cap era wants that format. Gary and building his fake rivalries.

How fun was Oilers/Kings 3. It got worse and worse each year until the Kings didn’t bother showing up. Real rivalry.
