The thought of having to spend another 8 days with the Oilers and their media knob gobblers makes me sick. Boeser or no Boeser, the Canucks need to finish this tonight.

With no NBA games on the schedule, this could not have worked out better for the NHL, at least as far as Monday nights go. It will be the only thing on the ESPN main network.

Its a great day, one of these fanbases is in for a bad time. The other gets to be exposed in round 3 by Sir Christopher Tanev and his team as the pretenders they are.
Was hoping for 7 games before the series started, now give me multiple overtimes for the ultimate soul crushing experience. Would be a riot.
The Oilers suck. The Canucks suck.

It's hard to have faith in the Canucks given their effort level and style of game over the playoffs. It's got them this far against a mediocre Predators team and overrated Oilers team but has to be on of the least impressive playoff performances from a team in recent memory that actually has got this far. They are going to need to be extremely opportunistic and have a few bounces go their way to win this one.

They would never do an afternoon start with it only being a holiday in Canada, but they absolutely should have had an earlier start considering fans can get to the arena earlier without it being a workday. 6pm EST or 7pm EST would've been great.

I just talked to a friend that is a police officer in Vancouver. He is not a Canucks fan but he hopes they win tonight. Lol.
Told me EVERYBODY is working manditory OT tonight because Canuck fans are no good.

Agree however the silver lining if the Oilers win is they are going to get absolutely destroyed in 4 games against Dallas. If they lose to the Canucks in 7 they can mentally make excuses about how it was a close series and they could have been one game away from going all the way. If they get destroyed by Dallas though it will mentally destroy any confidence in that group they can compete with the upper tier teams.

I hope you're right, but with the luck they have had so far, I am fully expecting some serious injuries to Dallas' top players in Game 1, paving the way to the SCF for the Oilers.
