Oh my, Charlie double-faults and Frances wins the opening set in a tie-break 8-6.

Tiafoe going right after Charlie there and it costs him as it goes long.

Carlitos has won 7 of the last 8 games.
Edit: Charlie about to take Frances to the bakery here in set 3.

I actually think Alcaraz is better on hard court than clay. I can see him winning the US Open and then the AO next year.

Tiafoe’s serve just isn’t there
Also Alcaraz just wow, 3 hrs longer on court over past 3 matches, wouldn’t know it

Heck of a match, Carlitos just pulled off some incredible shots late to take it.

Every year there are calls for slams to be best of three rather than best of five and then you get matches like Alcaraz vs. Sinner and Alcaraz vs. Tiafoe and those calls fade away.

I mean it would be a lot more competitive if Iga wasn't sniping lines without even trying to make it look like it's difficult.

She's playing like Djokovic today, so much depth on her shots and the court coverage is supreme.

That game point to go up 3-0 in set 2 is soul-destroying. You hit a good, hard, deep backhand cross court and it comes back straight down on the OUTSIDE of the line. Unplayable.
On another note, I reiterate my desire for spectators who yell out when players are ready to serve be ejected immediately and if they do not immediately leave, throw them in a cell overnight. I'm not kidding or exaggerating... This is actually what I want to happen.

More than thrown out - never allowed to attend a live tennis event ever again. Banned for life immediately.
