"name on ballot" candidates won.

My apologies if it's already been posted.... just got home from counting ballots.

In many ways, Jack Layton is the father of this Conservative majority. I know I was pretty critical of NDP supporters over the last week, but thank you guys! This is your victory too!

I have no idea how the NDP keeps this number of seats. Quebec is completely in play now, and I don't see the NDP becoming "Quebec's party".

The only question is though, if the NDP threat were to subside, do the Conservatives hang onto the fringe Liberals in Ontario.

I like how Harper is actually at the rink, Layton is at some sort of political rally, and Ignatieff is probably at the airport.

Yup. After the little head nod from Harper to Layton at the debate handshake, you'd almost think he helped mastermind the NDP surge in order to create the perfect balance of vote splitting.

The man is one hell of a politician.

I think Justin Trudeau needs to look out for that guy in the background staring at him intensely.

Umm didn't Harper tell us all to cheer for the Canucks about a week ago? I guess that was just politics.

I hope with his majority govt he will prosecute diving in the NHL with 30 days in jail.
