Oh that was almost a huge miss by Sweden's second. Fortunate that that stone is out of the rings, but they did not want that in play.

Sweden trying to keep the hammer going to 10. Didn't think they saw enough to pick that one.

Sweden is in trouble now. I don't think they will be able to blank the end anymore.

Yeah, at this level, the game is so much about control of the hammer. My biggest peeve about that curling movie, Men with Brooms, is that it didn't even mention the concept of the hammer, which is essential to appreciating the game.

Depends if they can do a double to clean the house. Need to split the rocks up.

Up 2 going to 10. The same situation they were in yesterday.

The hit is there, but could leave them with one instead of a blank.

6-4! They have this! Let Sweden get 1 in the 10th.

I have no idea how Bernard manages to pull these late game heroics out every time.

So now, even without the hammer Canada can just knock off every Swedish stone and try and keep them to just one point in the 10th?

Wow, improbable to think that you'd be up 6-4 coming home after being down 4-2 at the 5th end break.
Even more improbable when you only took one with the hammer.
Canada has really stepped it up and the Swedes are falling apart. C'mon girls, bring it home!

Yeah, Canada is going to be looking to run them out of stones.
Sweden is going to want to keep a lot of rocks in play.

That's the goal, but it's not as easy as that.
The free guard zone rule prevents Canada from taking out Sweden's first rock with their second throw as long as it is outside the rings.

Sweden will start with the corner guards, put rocks in play around them and keep the middle clear for a draw for 2.
