This game should have never been 3-2 though. It should have been 7-2. There was a floater on every line tonight towards the end.
Babcock needs to smack several guys upside the head (Crosby, Thorton, Nash, Bergeron, Pronger).

I pointed out a clear penalty that lead to a good chance, why should that be ignored?
Others pointed out another clear penalty that lead to a goal.
These aren't marginal calls but clear cut penalties.
When they play an important part in the game why should people ignore them?

Wow, where did Crosby go? I think maybe they should keep Bergeron out there, if they want to LOSe. Good game by Iggy, iffy game by Luongo. The Crosby experiment has failed miserably. He's been nothing much so far, but he has one game left to make a statement. Getz is getting better. Doughty was mostly good. Wow, I didn't expect that game from them.
Oh yeah, it's also really nice that we get a USA ref for two games, lots of "missed" calls.

Same, I think a stick deflected it.

Geez take off the homer glases guys

They won. I'm happy but Luongo will have to be better than that for Canada to win gold. He hasn't been bad but he really hasn't had to make too many saves. IMO if Fleury would have got the starts team Canada would still be in the gold medal game.

If the smack results in Bergeron suffering a concussion, I fully agree.
His selection still blows my mind. He's been as bad and out of place as predicted.

Babcock if you can't resist puting Bergeron on the ice. Stay in your hotel room and watch reruns of Hannah Montana.

I agree.
Since the game would have been 3-0 with him in net at that point no way is he forced to make that save.

He's made a few dandies in his day...
Not sold on Loungo starting in the final, he hasn't amazed me, but tough to go back to Marty now. Luongo has to raise the bar sunday, big time.

He sure doesn't look like the great two way player he was advertised as by Yzerman.

You still din't answer my question, you can't honestly expect me to believe that if it was Kipper making that stop you'd have the same reaction to what you ahve now

That was a pretty boring game until the very end. We sat back way too much in the 3rd period and Slovakia capitalized. Can't do that against the US. That 1st line of Staal-Crosby-Iginla needs to step it up on Sunday. The 4th line has been awesome.
Bring on the US!!!!

It's not really an experiment. He was going to be there and be on the first line (as it was supposed to be) either way.
I'm glad he wasn't handed the C this time around because it looks like he's feeling the pressure just a little bit, which is odd considering the pressure situations he's already been in and had no trouble with.

Well, goals like that super weak first one are worrying.
Horribly blown defensive coverage like on the second goal is worrying.
Play like that isn't good enough to win the gold and this game shouldn't have been this close at the end. But sure, be super high on a single lucky glove save.

A bunch of things have to happen for us to win gold.
Luongo needs to build off the clutch game saving save.
Crosby needs to be better
and our defense need to start playing defense
I'm confident we beat the USA on Sunday
