No way the Texans win the AFC South either.

I know he says in his column he hates trying to prognosticate because he knows he is horrible at it. But since Dr.Z had his stroke(s) the magazine has asked him to do it.

Peter King is a good writer, but I stopped taking him seriously when they started posting his weekly picks. What the heck is he thinking?

That's what caused you to stop taking him seriously? How about his ridiculous and slightly homo-erotic fan fiction articles?

The perception of Jay Cutler now compared to 6 months ago is absolutely amazing.
The guy goes to a team with a lot less weapons, worse O-Line and now he's suddenly going the Super Bowl and is a top 5 QB (both of which I've heard in the last 24 hrs from respected football writers).
In March, the Broncos were on their way to the toilet of the AFC West with Cutler leading the way. He didn't have the maturity to lead a team to the Super Bowl despite all the weapons.
Hilarious stuff.

Cutler as top 5? No way. Top 10 maybe but not top 5.

Kettle acknowledges meeting pot. When does McNabb's ankle give out? Around game 7?

Eagle and Cowboy fans are going to throw down?!
I think Peter King is actually the best football guy across the board.....can't take any of the ESPN clowns seriously....but I guess Schefter is there now, who is also fantastic.
Maybe it's a tie between Schefter and King.

Please. The injury card is so overplayed. He's only missed 2 or more games in a season three times in his career. It's not like he's been sitting out games because of a migraine or turf toe. The injuries he's had were just unlucky (torn ACL, broken ankle, sports hernia).
What's Romo's excuse for his annual mid-November to January swoon? The guy is a whopping 5-10 in games after November 30th.

I actually don't mind Matt Mosely of ESPN. He runs the NFC East blog, and despite being an avid and admitted Cowboys fan, provides pretty good coverage of all four teams.

I always read Peter King, but he simply cannot pick winners or dark horse players. I almost wonder if he isn't too close to some of the players. It doesn't seem to affect his articles, but he seems to fall for a "feel good" story and lets his rooting influence his prognostication.
He was a Devils STH, I wonder if he will now root for the Bruins?

Speaking of Peter King, he is answering questions via Twitter right now.

I would love to sit down and hear some of the "off-the-record" stuff with any of these guys. Not looking for dirt, but I bet they have hundreds of stories that didn't fit into their columns.

Forgot about that, was wondering why he was answering so many random questions.
Just a guy who's very close to the NFL, players and execs alike. Good to have that kind of guy feeding you knowledge.
But I'll agree, his weekly picks and all that are hilarious sometimes.

Brutal may a bit of a stretch..and i am an avowed Cowboy hater.

Romo's overall 2008 numbers don't look great, but remember, he missed three games with a broken pinkie. He still made the NFL's top 10 in touchdown passes, yards per game, yards per attempt, attempts per game and passer rating

Maybe not brutal, but definitely overrated. The guy has thrown 46 INTs in 39 games.
