hey, haven't kept up on the changes a whole lot, but for the eashl, did they improve the DR? because this year it sucked waiting for people as you couldn't do anything while in there. i would go back through the thread, but its pretty lengthy.

Good deal on at EB right now. If you put $5 down on the pre-order you can get the Kane bundle + an additional $5 off the game when you buy it.

Just put my preorder down at EB Games for $5.
It's $73.xx without insurance, but BC sells it for 59.99 + costs. AB gets 10$ hike i guess.
Anyone else preorder? or do any trade-in deals or anything?

They seem to flux though man. I remember when I got the PS2 games were around 80 bucks, climbed down to 50ish, then some went up a bit, then fell again. In my experience my PS3 seems to be following a similar pattern.

Games were $59.99 for a long time, then our dollar shot down to .80 of the USD and they jacked the prices up $10. Pisses me off so much. Our dollar is at .92 right now, and it should be higher but the gov't keeps pushing it down. I hate paying $70+ for a game, especially when I find out it sucks.

I'm pretty sure games that I've bought recently have all been 59.99, unless they changed it back like you guys say. I don't mind paying the extra $10 for NHL games, because I know that I won't get bored of them in a week, so I usually buy the lesser games (in my mind) used a few months after they come out for $20 and then play it until I get bored or get most of the achievements.

I pretty much refuse to buy games for $70. The only I've payed $70 for since the price increase is UFC Undisputed. The rest I've waited until some place sells them on sale for $60 or less.

Pretty quick usually, but they still cost like $70, when I tried to get GH:Metallica used a month or so after it came out, the guy said that it's $70, so there's no point in buying it used when you can get it new for the same price.
If you don't mind waiting 2 or 3 months until they lower the prices, then you can probably get it used for 30 something bucks.
All these time frames are from my own expeirience with EBGames, so you should probably call them and ask to be sure.

Yep.... I'm officially DONE with NHL 09. Too many disconnects leads to losses against scrubs who are ranked above 10,000 and I just don't care anymore. NHL 10 better not disappoint.

Yeah I don't get it. Then when I complain everyone tells me it is my connection. No it isn't, my internet (wifi as well) is working right next to me on my laptop. Xbox live crashes more playing ranked games on NHL 09 then it does on any other game, it doesn't crash on any other game in fact.

Like they give you $8 for a game and then sell it for $29.99... or they'll sell a used game for $59.99, and 10 minutes later you see it on the shelf at Best Buy (brand new) for the same price.
Games in general are getting way too expensive. For me, it makes more sense to just rent games since I have very little interest in re-playing them and it doesn't take more than a few days to finish most games. For the odd "must-have multi-player" game, I try to find them in pawn shops or someplace cheaper. Like how I just found Gears of War 2 for $10 today. It's $40 (used) at EB.
I'm not even someone who usually cares about price matching or whatever. I guess it's just the principle of the whole thing. $70 for a video game is just stupid.
