If the Yanks would take BJ Ryan, would you give him and his $20M away?

I thought BJ's contract was up after this year. "Only" 12M this year and that's it.

I'm just going from memory, AJ and BJ both got 5 year contracts, AJ just finished his 3rd so BJ has two more.
I'll check later.

His contract expires after next season, he is due $24M from the start of this season to the end of the contract.

Well, since being named AL rookie of the month, Richmond has had two terrible starts in a row.

Oh well.....at least we've got Tallet up against Sabathia tomorrow. We get a handicap of 1 run for every million dollars in salary differential, right?

Rios needs to be playing center field. That's painfully obvious after watching Wells give up several runs arriving a step too late.
I hate the arrogance of pro players that prevents teams like Jays from putting one of the best fielders in the league in Rios in his proper position.

Would you put Wells in left, and Snyder in Right if you could move Rios to center.
It can be amusing how Baseball players insist that that get to play their position defensively and allow it to hurt their team at times.

Don't like the jays' chances in this one. CC has owned the jays in his career.

Frig...seems every Jays game I miss either partly or entirely, they lose.
I need to plant myself in front of the TV tomorrow evening.

Ricky Romero is active, but in the minors. I'm guessing the next lousy start results in a demotion.

Richmonds splits are now ridiculous:
.172/.232/188 against RHB and .304/.375/.601 against LHB.
-Mockingbird
Maybe Richmond's role should be long relief righty specialist?
I'm not giving up on the guy like some sites have, but I don't think he is a starter when the Jays have a healthy staff. Having Romero and Cecil in the rotation (rookie southpaws) would mean a guy like Richmond would likely get innings, although less than as a starter. But with Janssen and Romero healthy plus Litsch on his way I think its an option.
edit: then again, as DJF puts it "Seriously? Is Robert Ray not still on the team?"

What a fantastic pitching performance by Ray!
Jays were trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 8th but scored two runs to win the game 2-1.
Ray was awesome today.
Jays are now 25-14 on the season.

That was a frustrating game until the 8th, wow. Great performance by Ray though.

It was frustrating...they were getting hits and stealing bases but couldn't cash anyone till the 8th. I am glad they pulled it out for Ray to get the W. Good call on Downs over Ryan too, I cringed every time BJ took the mound his last 2 seasons.
