Definitely is great though to see the FIFA Peace Prize winner openly contemplating war crimes. To think the morally reputable people of FIFA may have misjudged their winner, unfathomable.

Is it just me or does Hegseth remind me of Zap Brannigan?

Al Jazeera report
“Iran warns it will target US and Israel‑linked energy and IT infrastructure, along with desalination plants in the region if its power plants are hit, following Trump’s threat to strike Iranian plants over the Strait of Hormuz.”

I'm sure all the countries in the region that get the majority of their drinking water from desalination plants are really thrilled with this latest escalation.

Trump and his clown show administration clearly have no exit plan here and are just completely flailing at this point. And of course Trump being the narcissistic man-child that he is just can't help making more dumb threats to try and make himself look like a tough guy in the eyes of his dips*** supporters.

IMO this will end either one of two ways: with U.S. boots on the ground. Or the U.S. eventually just gives up, pulls the plug on the whole thing, and declares some kind of fake victory that the MAGA cult will swallow.

If the war continues up until the mid-terms, which is certainly a possibility at this point, I hope it means a crushing defeat for Republicans. Judging by the latest polls, the vast majority of Americans are pissed about the rising cost of living and don't want anything to do with this war.

Seven international powers said Thursday they were ready “to contribute to” ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, though three stressed that any initiative would take place post-ceasefire.

Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the Netherlands said Thursday they were ready “to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.”

A joint statement said they “welcome the commitment of nations who are engaging in preparatory planning,” as they condemned “in the strongest terms recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf.”

But Italy, Germany and France made clear later Thursday that they were not talking about any immediate military help, but rather a potential multilateral initiative after a ceasefire.

The declaration came as an effective Iranian blockade of the strait has paralyzed commercial shipping through the crucial maritime chokepoint, which in peacetime sees a fifth of global crude oil and liquefied natural gas pass through it.
Wonder if any decisions to help with the Strait of Hormuz has anything to do with the range of Iranian ballistic missiles.

Probably more to due with Bibi and Trump's deeply unpopular and poorly planned war crippling international trade, and them wanting that to not be the case ASAP.

We should help the best way we can, the way so many Americans do when they need help: thoughts and prayers. I think we should send a card with 40 million signatures of thoughts and prayers. But anything material? Nah.

At least when the russians hit Ukrainian powerplants and civilian structures, they have the big brains to lie and pretend it was full of NATO troops or some UA nazi stronghold. This dumb jackass is straight up pulling some OsamaBinLaden terrorist crap by proclaiming what he's going to do. That will do wonders to convince Iranians what positive aspects american liberators will bring to them. About as good as the Ukrainians were convinced the russian liberators were there doing good.
