If this team loses tomorrow, Conny and the Flames brass needs to take an honest look at things. Playoff chances shrink dramatically, and playoffs become basically a pipe dream.

Take a look at Parekh, and realize those are the kinds of players you can get by drafting top 10.

Yeah, they are not heartless lazy players.

This combo of guys is just bad. Maybe as many as a third of them are bubble/fringe NHLers.

And rather than accepting that and trying to simplify and get dirty greasy goals, they keep trying to dangle their way into the zone or rifling shots at the goalie with no traffic or chaos at the net.

Lots of low talent players with smarts play better than these guys.

So yeah, Flames are hard working dummies. Not losing because of lack of effort. Playing hard, not smart.

Who cares about his AHL points, we know what Hunt is in the NHL, he's nothing, he's the safe pick. Low risk, no upside.

Klapka is fine on the 4th line but he's had lots of looks this season and outside of one game he's been pretty unremarkable.

Kerins had four points in 5 games, looked really good in 3 or 4 of those games and at the first struggle they send him down never to be seen again.

Stromgren has been the most exciting Wrangler this year offensively but he's risky and unknown.

Give the other guys a look, why is this team playing it safe or making safe decisions.

Fans complain about eastern media not giving the Flames enough respect, but it doesn’t help when the Flames #### the bed every time they play the Leafs.
