I am actually a little bit shocked how little respect the Canucks are getting going into this.
Maybe they all know something we don't. But out of 30+ predictions I've only seen two taking Vancouver and less than 50% have the series going 6 or more games. Was Edmonton that good in their opening round series vs the Kings?

I think it's mostly a matter of Edmonton being the better team to begin with and then you factor in the third string goalie and lacklustre performance from Pettersson the last 1/4 of the season and that's all she wrote. I think this would be a close series with a healthy Demko in net. As it stands, yeah, I think it would be a good showing if VAN could get it to 6.
Silovs played well for 3 games but I don't think it's unfair to expect him to start looking like an AHL goalie against what he's about to be faced with.

Propaganda
I'm a little concerned about the goaltending but Rittich held them to one...some of the Canucks gotta show up though

I am too.
I'm not surprised that the Oilers are the favourites. But the overall consensus is like it's the Soviet National team going up against Latvia.
I cannot wait for VAN to dummy them!
(don't let me down, VAN)

I wonder if the Oilers overpriced their tickets. I checked last night and it still looks like there's thousands available on the primary market. Carolina had one pair and eleven scattered singles available.

Why would you pay to get in a fight when you can get in one for free at the watch party?

Do you really think Oiler fans consider it that logically?

Probably not. Maybe their funds are tied up in bail?

Could be. For every fight that ends up on Twitter, there must be a corresponding number that we never see.

Ticket prices are high but not sure what you are referring to for primary. I think of primary as original sale by team. There’s maybe less than a hundred of bowl seats left in that category for the first game. At the one end there’s a lot in the lounge area, that’s a different seating section, will be curious if they sell those, it includes food but those might be a tough sell. Lots of resell tix, in the thousands probably, that’s lots of sth seeing if they can cash out to help pay the bills but they will go if not sold.
Still it’s expensive and in this economy they are up against the line.

We know counting is not a strong suit amongst Oiler fans but there's 228 seats available not including resale in the lower bowl alone for game 3. 425 for game 4 + 159 in the 200 level.

Yes, primary is the original sale by the team. Not sure what you mean by "bowl seats;" in Edmonton all the 100s and 200s are normal lower and upper deck seats from what I saw. I've only been once.
One of my friends is a Dallas STH and they can decline their option to purchase any given playoff game, in which case it will be offered by the team on the primary market. It's not the entire round or entire playoffs for them - could differ for other teams.
Every team has tons of secondary market tickets. Try to make a ton of money, cool. If not, they'll be happy to go to the game. Anyone who chooses to be a STH can't "in this economy" people.

Obviously no Demko hurts and I think that shifts the odds but how again is Edmonton, the land of no goodness, the better team?

Sorry just took a Quick Look and estimated it so was off. Not in the thousands as implied though.

What I was referring to is the large group of tickets at the upper level on one end of the rink. There’s a very large contingent of those tickets for sale, there’s a big lounge there and there’s not really any sth there and it’s pretty expensive so you need to sell them every game. Those tickets aren’t really part of the bowl per se.
We can’t pick and choose by game it’s all or nothing, you can pay as you go though which is what we do. But we can’t decline a specific game or round. I’m not “in this economy” people anyone, and no team owes me a lower price so I can turn a profit. The team has tons of data and sets the price right where they think it should be. What I meant by my comment is even trying to sell for face value is uphill right now, tickets are very expensive and there’s lots of pressure on peoples finances so they can be tough to move. We don’t care about that, and I have no empathy for the ticket resellers out there, was just commenting on why there’s lots of tickets that appear for sale.
