How is Nketiah still on? He's been dreadful.

Feels like Arsenal got lucky Maddison got hurt, Spurs were well on top at that point and the game pretty much fizzled out after that.

next two away games (at Fulham and Burnley) are going to be vital for Chelsea, because the schedule gets really ugly after that: Arsenal (H), Brentford (H), Tottenham (A), Man City (H), Newcastle (A), Brighton (H), Man United (A). Might want to get some points soon if they don't want to be stuck way down the table.

Took it to arsenal, they barely created anything

Only scored on an own goal and a pen

Spurs more possession

Assuming spurs the poster thinks it's the worst draw of all time

Nice win for Liverpool against a quality side.

Szoboslai has been huge in reforming this midfield. He’s not only been better than I expected, but also a different type of player than I expected. I thought he was an attacking mid, but he really is a number 8 with a massive engine on him. Quickly becoming one of my favourites.

Christ, we were awful today. Had a chance to go two up and Jesus hits it over the bar while right on goal with no pressure and just about anywhere on target open to him.

Looked like panic stations whenever the ball was up our end.

It has truly been a treat to watch Liverpool this season. Szoboslai was amazing yet again (hasn’t had a bad game at all yet) and MacAllister, with quite the struggling couple of games before this one, came through with a beautiful chip to Darwin for the second goal.

So many likeable players in Liverpool.

One takeaway for Arsenal is they without a doubt need a real striker. Nketiah stinks, Havertz isn't a CF, and while Jesus is good for what he is, he's a glue guy and not the guy you lean on. I'd expect they are in hard for Toney in January.

Only if I can parlay that with Paqueta to Man City.

Completely agree with that assessment - there is no one up front to get the dirty goals and/or shoot with any composure. The finishing is abysmal - and there is absolutely nothing in the pipeline to suggest anything will change.

I doubt we will solve this problem in the January window. It has been such an unbelievable blind spot in the building of an otherwise good squad.

Nope good to get the draw.

I don't think either team were particularly good and while often derby's can bring out the best out of teams/players today's game was too timid from what both teams normally bring.

But a draw away to a top 6 club is a good result anytime we can get it.

I'd be curious what the advanced stats say about this one. Thought Spurs were the better team through about 80ish minutes, and then felt like they kind of just held on.

xG was basically even if you take out the penalty. It felt like three different matches in one, the first 35 Arsenal were pressing hard and Spurs were struggling to get out, after that Spurs took the game to them pretty good until Maddison got hurt, and then it ended with pretty much a stalemate the last 20.

Same could be said about Rice getting injured at half.
Although Arsenal were poor today, a stable Rice instead of Jorginho and maybe they win 2-1.

On the tube home now.
Not the result I wanted for my first North London Derby, but a great match & atmosphere to be at live.
