Also, LOL at anyone who thinks doctors actually bring home the full bacon. Anywhere from 10-30% goes straight to overhead, especially family docs.

We've been over this already. Lots.

UCP is just 'boogeymaning' them on this topic because they know ignorant, uneducated people will listen to anything they say.
“Ignorant and uneducated”, common theme from the NDP supporters today to be calling everyone names who disagrees with their stance.

And averages vary widely and the ones at the top aren’t your family docs, emerg docs or even a lot of surgeons.

Lots of the high end paid docs are already dipping deep into the private sector - plastic surgeons, allergists, etc.

On CBC Janet Brown is saying that advanced polling is generally representative of the electorate.

Also the CBC just said that the single votes are “tilting in one direction”

In general I am in favour of private sector involvement under a few conditions. Where people have frequent contact with the system they can make an informed choice and where competition exists.

So privatizing a hospital where the private sector will deliver publicly funded services doesn’t do much whereas family doctors are a good use of private delivery and publicly funded.
I didn't vote for UCP. And I agree I wouldn't trust them to pull it off. Still, doesn't change that fundamentally I feel semi-private is our way out of the mess we are in.

Amazing.

One of the “single votes” is in Calgary-Buffalo, which is a safe NDP seat…. This is not something one draws any conclusions from.

I hope when all of this is over we can go back to being avid Flames supporters. At least we’ll have that in common.

Instead of whining, have a look.

Here's another one:

Quote:
The NDP’s platform includes policies to expand the petrochemical sector, reduce energy project wait times and repeal the Sovereignty Act, introduced under UCP Leader Danielle Smith, who claimed it would allow the province to ignore some federal laws. The NDP argues that the act is anti-Canadian and repels investment in Alberta. The NDP, under leader Rachel Notley, also says it would not introduce a provincial retail carbon tax.
Do some research on the NDP energy policy, dude.

The people saying this stuff are holding back trust me, they don't have the guts to say how they really view people that don't vote the way they do.

Bizarre early results. Why do so many ridings only have one vote counted? Who's supervising these polls??
