Does anyone really believe if Colorado won this series they would have beat Dallas this year? No Landeskog, Cogliano, Nichushskin, Kadri, Burakovsky. I really doubt it.

They are seemingly becoming a decent hockey team, it's that simple.
They were also missing their top scorer which you of course neglect to mention.

Seattle had only 9 points less than the Avs this season.

But the Avs fattened up on OT and SH wins, as Seattle actually had more regulation wins than Colorado. The Avs gained 6 points on shoot out wins alone.

Mediocre going forward?

They are a young team with no bad contracts and lots of cap space.

They really are the bizarro Flames.

The Avs were too beat up this year to repeat. Them losing Kadri also really hurt their center depth. I wonder if they’d take a look at a Backlund or a Lindholm…..

The Cup hangover is real. Discounting the injuries, the Avs just seemed a little off all season. They will be back next season.

injuries to the other team, or goaltending issues, a better powerplay. whatever the reason it doesn't matter.
If a team wins a best of 7 playoff series, they've earned it and deserve it. It's that simple.

When you start bringing out ifs and buts to put down a team, you have no argument only sour grapes.

He will just blame goaltending but Seattle had just as bad goaltending as we did but still got 100 points.

It was a double centre hit because Landeskog would normally have filled that gap.

Landeskog is not a centre. He generally plays LF on McKinnon's line.

I think Lindholm on a one year rental would be attractive to the Avs.

They'd split them a lot leading to the cup. Kadri allowed that flexibility. Anyway, with Kadri out, he was going to have to play C.

Yep, they have the best defensman in the league, along with a top 3 forward, plus a handful of other top level players. To discount the Av's as being done as contenders is absurd.
