There's the actual footage... that's a guy who's clearly on the defensive right away.
I would say the bigger news out of that interview is that he was asked about Horvat's quote about it feeling like they weren't going to win again... and said "part of this is being a man and doing your job, if everyone looks themselves in the mirror it should never feel like you're not going to win".
That comes across like a shot at Horvat.
And given the rumors of a divided room, that makes sense. He clearly didn't talk to Horvat because again in Horvat's quote he was putting himself in the shoes of the fans.
Newflash Miller. Those fans pay your bills. Trouble with NHL players is that they've never worked a real job in their life. Take some responsibility. You cash the cheques, now put in the work.
The problem is that Miller already has his fat contract so he doesn't care. The Aquillini's pay his bills in his mind. I think Canucks fans are seeing him as really lazy in his play right now.
On the flipside, I heard that he was getting grief by Canucks fans while out on a family activity with his kids and he doesn't deserve that one either.

Honestly, I didn't have any problem with any of Miller's comments there, and I give him credit for standing in there and (as patiently as possible, under the circumstances) politely answering all of the questions. And every single question was a potential trap to see if he would go off the rails and do something 'newsworthy'.
I am not a Miller fan at all, but in that situation, what else was he going to say?

The caveat to my first post is that he is not a guy I want on my team.
While all of his answers were 'reasonable', he might want to be a little less dismissive about fans being irate. Sure, it's a loser fan that throws a jersey on the ice, but that loser fan only does so when the team is a ####show. Try to understand that the ####show is on you and your team-mates, and try to understand that even the stupid fans are paying your salary.
i was sort of expecting mike ditka - but this guy would also be a decent choice.
i caught rutherford on HNIC on saturday. i was a little stunned when he said the team had a bad training camp and i could not help but think isn't that mostly on the coaches - outside of guys not showing up in shape and have done some reasonable amount of informal skates

The Canucks may never win a game again. This one is pretty sad because it doesn't totally feel like an overreaction right now.

People are over reacting. They easily could have won a few of the games I saw.
What do people want him to do? Cry?
In his defence it must get old having the media continually digging for things that aren’t there. They are probably just as frustrated if not more.

Either Yeo has dirt on Boudreau or Canucks brass wanted a coach on staff that could deliver top draft lottery odds if things go sideways.
It's U.S. Vice-President Syndrome. American presidential candidates often like to pick total clowns as their running mates, because it will make people think twice about shooting the president and leaving the clown in charge.
The Canucks are probably a lot less likely to fire Boudreau if it means that Mike Yeo becomes head coach.

To defend Miller (Just a bit, not completely, he's still a clown) I've read he's been getting it pretty hard when he's out in public, including with his family. Guy is probably just fed up with that and I don't blame him there

I hope that’s not true about him and his family getting dumped on in public. That’s crossing the line for any fanbase.
