There will be missed calls and bad calls.

I don’t think there is intentional game management in the NHL. I think there is unintentional unfairness in that they start calling the game according to momentum and situation.

I think both teams have a lot of speed. The Russians definitely found a gear right before that goal. But Canada has been the faster team at times as well.
