I really enjoyed the season, looking forward to the resolution! Curious to see where they go with Ryan.

We should have a Poll. Because I think something terrible is going to happen, he's going to wreck the place and Butcher is going to have to kill him.

I’m guessing she turns into a huge grotesque monster but joins the ‘good’ team.

The Boys is getting a prequel.
Vought Rising,
The Boys universe is expanding in a big way with its first spinoff featuring actors from the hugely popular Prime Video superhero series. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash are set to headline and produce Vought Rising, a prequel to mothership series, in which they will reprise their characters from The Boys, Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively.

This news sucks. We have to wait until 2026 for the final season.

It could just mean that they have to add a crap ton of eye lasers in post. Could make for an exciting season.

We are getting "Vought: Rising" and supposedly also "The Boys: Mexico". I found Gen V got me by in between the last break.

That's definitely why they're delaying the release of the final season. They're able to pump out more Boys content between and hang on to subscribers.

This seems like it is getting a little bit of a Walking Dead vibe

Don't think it's quite that bad. They aren't stretching out the main material into years of extra seasons.
Waiting 2 years blows, but I do get the impression a lot of the studios are being truthful when they state they just can't complete the work in 1 year. These series have production values that are higher than movies were even 5-10 years ago.
I may actually go and watch the last two seasons of TWD. I was always under the impression that they stretched out the series into many seasons, but it turns out the main series was done and it was just a bunch of spinoffs....although the last two seasons have 22 and 24 episodes...yikes. Maybe not.

Yet. I wouldn't put it past them to break up the season into two parts like they did with Stranger Things. A nice 2 month break before the final few episodes to keep the subscription dollars flowing.

To be fair, there's potentially still a lot of story left to tell here. Lots of main characters need to have everything resolved. If anything the show has set some lofty goals of fitting that all into the last season.
With TWD they stretched out the Saviors/Whisperers/Commonwealth storylines to the point it just wasn't worth watching. Then they threw in a bunch of drama between characters that really didn't support the extra time. And how many times can you rewatch essentially the same plot. Rick and his gang try to be good guys, they run into a powerful larger group of A-holes. There's a mini-war. Do it again.
As long as the Boys doesn't stretch the final season into 12+ episodes, I think it'll be fine. I would even be fine with 12-14, as long as it's good. TWD was 24 fricken episodes for the last season, and 22 for season 11. It was already dragging with too many episodes by season 10, and I just flat out didn't even bother watching the last two seasons due to the episode count.

For me, it wasn't even that. It was the gigantic mid-season breaks. It just lost me.
Sure, there was lots of filler, but the breaks are largely did me in. Too many episodes, too many were filler and if you have to wait months for a new episode? Oh...its back? Cool. Whatever.

Damn Starlighters.
They've taken down the statue of Soilder Boy, and destroyed Vought Tower, leaving only the base!
They must be stopped!!!

Finally got around to watching some of Gen V last night as I'd completely missed it when it first came out.
Got 3 or 4 episodes in. It's weird (like The Boys is), I like it.

I finally had a chance to watch season 4. Overall, I didn't have any problems with it, except for two. The first was that the political messaging really slowed down the progression of the story and character arcs. There wasn't the sense of breakneck speed there was in other seasons, or the concentration on relationships. I mean, the strongest arc belonged to the Deep. That shouldn't happen!
Also, considering the very direct messaging, it was weird to take the character with the emotional core of the whole series, the good guy Mary Sue, and then rape him multiple times, victim blame, and then don't address it.
It left me feeling like this could have been an excellent five episode season, and two full episodes worth of filler. I mean, I'll still take that.
