I’m going to bump this quote from the first page because it’s amazing.

I think it's fair to say we've seen a pretty strong move on his floor, which is almost as important as ceiling in project development.

Was he ever a top three forward (first line) in projections? Probably not ... but I think his chances of top six over middle six is gaining some traction.

This guy thinks the NHL Dream is already over for Pelletier.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wonder if his opinion / model has changed since July with Pelletier's strong start this season.

Yeah, that's a pretty dated opinion.

Pelletier is putting up 1.3 points per game as a 20 year old rookie so far.

That has NHLer written all over it.

30 games was also half a typical QMJHL season so extrapolating data from such small sample sizes are foolish. Pelletier might've stayed at his current pace, he might've exploded in points. Those projections are great but they all should be taken with a massive grain of salt, especially with how weird last year was for all leagues.

The team could use an infusion of skill into the forwards - as always, we seem to be one man short of an actual top-6.

If Pelletier’s defensive game is anywhere near his offence, I’d like to see him get an audition with Backlund.

Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk
Pelletier-Backlund-Mangiapane
Coleman-Monahan-Dube
Lucic-AR-Lewis/Richardson/Pitlick

Totally agree

To add to this and it might be an unpopular opinion but I’d like to audition Phillips in the bottom 6 as well. I actually think he’d work amazingly with Lucic. Send Ruzicka and Froese down and call up Pelts and Phillips.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Pelletier - Backlund - Mangiapane
Dube - Monahan - Coleman
Lucic - Lewis - Phillips
Richardson

This team needs secondary scoring and I don’t think they need to look to far to find it right now.

Forgot about Coleman who admittedly would be playing too far down the lineup on the 4th line.

This is also a late first round draft pick. A top 6 forward would be gravy, but I am fully expecting him and Mangiapane to hold down the #2 and #3 LW spots.

I am rooting hard for him, especially when we didn't get anything out of Poirier and Klimchuk.

Flames should bring up the minor league scoring sensation on January 1st. That is the path towards the Cup.

Model perhaps, but he's always been kind of a dickhead when it comes to Pelletier

Pelletier is and always was about as safe of a bet one could make to turn into an NHLer.

The person above has probably never watched him. Anyone who's has watched him with any regularity would say the same. His IQ is just too high, guy thinks the game at an extremely high level and players like him almost always make it to the show.

Pelletier isn't flashy, he isn't a speedster, he is just one hell of a smart player with a great work ethic. Sutter is going to love him.

As far as I'm concerned he has done nothing but improve his stock since being drafted. I really hope they call him up soon. He is an upgrade on our 3rd line and should get a chance soon!

Patrick Bacon looks like a 13 year old kid. Why is anything he says relevant to reality?
