It isn't worth the debate because you can't show he's been better. Have his advanced stats been better this season? More points? What has he done better? He's the same old terrible player but with win streaks fans are more forgiving of individual performances.

I should have quoted you so you would respond.
I'm not a huge advanced stats person, but his CF% in 5v5-close was 57% last game, 63.2% against Anaheim. Isn't that a good thing? I think what most are saying is if he continues to play the way he has in the last couple games, which correct me if I am wrong, based on those 5v5-close numbers he isn't doing terrible like you said he is.

Brouwer is terrible, is this really news? Or so ground breaking that I'm not being rational?

As personal opinion, there's been too much complaining about other posters on this forum recently.
Try to stick to the hockey talk.

I agree with you, he’ll stick for the season, though not for that reason. Jagr’s already states on the record he doesn’t care about the games played record. If he did, he wouldn’t have gone to the KHL for three years.

Does anyone have a clip of Doughty jaw-jacking at Tkachuk or even the incident in front of Quick? I had retired to bed and put the game on the radio at that point before hearing that and running back to the computer to fire up the rest of the game.

Lol, if it wasn't for people insulting my posts, personal attacks, or someone sensible trying to tell me how my opinion is wrong, I would never get a response!

I thought Brower was above average the last 2 games, aside from some boneheaded icings in Anaheim

Sometimes a win streak makes people forgive bad play by individual players or be blinded by it but Brouwer has been average to down right awful in every game so far. Just like he was last season.

I feel he a disappointed us so much that him even skating hard is seen as such a positive when it should be a given for a player in his role.
|
This is why people are taking issue with your posts about Brouwer. You flat out stated that he was at best average in last night's game, but then you concede that while he was not bad, your opinion of him is coloured intensely by your own history of disappointment.
I think these two comments demonstrate quite emphatically that your thoughts and feelings about Brouwer are NOT based purely on his game-by-game performance, and are rather formed by your long, deep-seeded abhorrence of him as a player. That is the very definition of an "irrational" perspective that is informed entirely by past experiences and expectations in spite of what is actually taking place.

I am frankly surprised it was edited out.
If memory serves was just a girl in a mini skirt dancing in celebratory.
It really wasn't that remarkable. Perhaps there was too much focus on the legs.

Has to be one of the tops in the NHL I would think.

2015-2016: 9-4
2016-2017: 9-2
After a quick scan of the list, looks like the Flames have the highest 3 on 3 win percentage.

^LA is right up there in win percentage as well, which made me really surprised when they sent plugs out for their 2nd OT shift.

So Troy takes an offsetting minor for sticking up for his captain and keeping Brown off of the ice during overtime and this is what he gets.
I don't like the guy much either but I'd rather have him on the team than have some of you in the fan base
