Well I say keep him around until the trade deadline just in case there is a GM that is brain dead. After that, send him home.

it doesn't excuse losing 5-0 but teams are now 3-8 after the 5 day break

hopefully LA follows this trend

Two bagels in the past 6 games.
They were only shut out 3 times all last season. If not for Bennett's last second goal against the Habs that'd be another one.

This is not better hockey than Hartley had them playing.

So per Ball and Hrudey this is entirely due to the 5 day break.

Forgetting about tonights disaster for a second, teams needs to be able to handle a bye week. NFL teams handle it and no reason NHL teams can't manage.

Good start but ran into hot goalie and it all fell apart.

Heads need to roll, enough of this mediocrity. That's an embarrassing effort for a "playoff push"

NHL teams are 3-8

come on now football teams only play 16 games and once a week

Is it so different? In an NFL bye week, they go 2 weeks between games. I like the bye week idea personally.

I disagree with this. Playoff experience is good for young guys on the farm. And does a team like the Flames who's currently struggling to make the playoffs want guys coming up who can't do it either?

Look at the 2012-13 Grand Rapids roster. Lots of good young talent that made the jump to the NHL shortly after winning the Calder Cup. The 2011-12 Norfolk roster filled the Lightning with players after they won theirs. In fact, almost every Calder Cup winning roster yields an NHLer out of it. Usually a good one.

So bad that there isn't even a PGT?

Edit: I'm an idiot and found the PGT.
