Eichel has been the worst forward on the team all tournament and is gifted 5 on 3 time and first PP unit time.
Makes no sense.

Bobrovsky was amazing in that game, and really, the Russians had 5 great minutes and that's it.
Great game, not worth it to bitch and whine about who's on the ice and their usage, other than possibly Eichel. Once Johnny-Nugent Hopkins-McKinnon caught fire, they were out there every other shift.
Can't wait for the test vs Sweden.

Is McLennan trying to win games or is he trying to showcase McDavid and Matthews? There's a lot of other really good players on the team and I don't see the point of overplaying a couple of guys when he has a bunch of players on the bench just as good with fresh legs.

McLellan is a joke of a coach. I know he won't, but I would love to see Johnny absolutely blast him in the media after the tournament.

Especially when Mathews hasn't played a single NHL game. I know he's good but throwing him out there every pp even when he's clearly tired makes it clear they are just trying to showcase him and McDavid. Won't be sad if this team is eliminated early.
What terrible coaching, it is no wonder SJ couldn't win with him.

I thought McLellan really mixed it up. Pulled Murray and then Larkin, Druoin and Trocheck were gone. Heck even Jones and Truoba were pretty much gone.
9 forwards and 4 D took over the rest of the game. About 25 minutes!
Yes the 5 on 3 will be a talking point but I think he overused Matthews, not McDavid. Eichel is a right handed shot that needs to play on the left side of the PP
