There are always that many taken (usually more)
Just because it's not as good doesn't mean that none of them will turn out.
Wouldn't be surprised if 2 of the 18 become starting goalies down the road.

I thought it would be the weakest year in many years with maybe 15 getting picked. Especially as next year is supposed to be a strong year with as many as 4 goalies projected as first rounders.
With the Schneider signing last year and Rittich this year I expected us to pass on a goalie this year let alone take one in the 2nd round.
I'm fine with the Parsons pick though.
