Terrible ball control by the Dutch forward on that chance, otherwise it's 1-1.

A lot less awkwardness at the back with Sesselman out.

Wow, what a sliding defensive play! It has it's lulls, but I'm loving this game compared to the other two.

Martens just walked around Bélanger like she was standing still. That's the side we'll get beat on, or by van de Donk in the middle. Doubt we get beat on Chapman's side.

In other news, the horrific officiating strikes again. China awarded a penalty on a phantom handball and they equalize against New Zealand. 1-1 at the half.

Probably paranoid after missing the Colombian handball

I still can't believe Columbia didn't get carded for that blatant ball lift yesterday. No call at all

Canada up 1-0 at the half. Although if this game was on grass it would be 8-0 Canada according to Abby Wambach. Some sloppy play after the goal but not breaking just yet.

Just saw the replay on the handball call against New Zealand. That was brutal! They have a legitimate beef on that one.

Immediate double team on Martens now. Could free up a big switch for a run with pace from Melis or Miedema who they're pretty much leaving alone.

Don't mind Willeman or DeVos, but really enjoy the generic English commentators for the WC (Men's and Women's). Glad to hear them; they just have a great pulse for the game, knowing when to talk and when to just let the play go.

Willeman repeats himself too much, and in general talks to much, and says the full names of the players annoyingly, every time, no matter what game he calls.

Handball there against Canada? Pretty close, inadvertent or not.

Edit: And now a foul by Chapman in the box which was worse than the call Canada got vs China. Playing with fire a bit here...the midfield is playing decent going forward but going back, the Dutch seems to be dictating.

^ Yeah Netherlands getting screwed a bit cause really that Chapman challenge is a penalty and so was the handball... but either way I'm convinced that Chapman/Buchanan combo can stop anybody in the world short of Brazil's Marta.

Canada got away with one on the Chapman tackle. If it was the other way we'd be screaming bloody murder.

Also, I typically enjoy English commentary but the constant mispronunciation of Belanger is bugging me.

I don't get the Dutch subbing out van de Donk, she's been their best player since Canada has managed to shut down Martens, for the most part. Don't like their chances of getting an equalizer now.

Holland are in the playoffs as it stands. They cant give up another goal either.
