I think a reasonable goal for him this year is to work into getting an injury call-up sometime during the year, get an NHL game in this season, and get 20 goals in the AHL.

Is Bennett not taking part in today's scrimmages? Also where was Backlund today?

Brodie and Gio looked as if there was no break between April and now. Extremely solid. Garnet Hathaway is making a real case for a contract. Sven looked decent, as did Monahan.
Gaudreau might be best served adjusting to the speed of the game in the AHL for a bit. He has a ton of talent, but he's going up against men now and he seemed more invisible for him than normal.

Beyond that, nobody really stood out that I can recall above and beyond what they usually do. Yonkman looked like a decent AHL player, so if the Flames signed him to have him in Addy, that wouldn't be bad.

CG, what are your thoughts on "Sven vs. Johnny"? Has Sven proven himself more than Johnny thus far?

Gaudreau stood out to me every shift he was on. The puck follows him around.
He also got the second assist on the Brodie goal.

Much like College, WJC, and WC. Johnny will take a a few games and pace out the speed of the game. Once he does this, he will start dominating.
He's done it at every level he's played at. By the end of preseason I'm willing to bet he'll be rocking and rolling.

How did both Raymond and Setoguchi look outside of scoring? Both were fast yeah?

I noticed Gaudreau more, but Sven wasn't bad in his own right. In terms of readiness, it's almost a draw, but I'd give the edge to Sven due to experience.
Gaudreau was very noticeable, pretty much every shift, but he wasn't quite as able imo to generate things as he normally does.
Gaudreau only has 1 pro game under his belt. It wouldn't hurt him to spend even October and the early part of November in Addy just to make some adjustments because it is a big leap from the NCAA to the NHL both in terms of skill but also games played.

Both were among the most noticeable forwards. Setoguchi was even backchecking with quite a bit of effort.

Thanks, I feel like they're both going to be better additions than most will give credit for.

If he gets sent to the A to start the year, I don't see him staying for more than a month or two at the very most.

Everytime I see Jooris mentioned he's doing good things, nothing flashy, just strong hockey plays. Any other comments about his play from those who saw him?
