		| To evacuate residents, the Calgary Police Service will:
 • establish perimeters around the evacuation areas
 • drive through the areas and announce the evacuation on a public address system
 • go door to door to inform residents about the evacuation
 • check each building to ensure no one remains in the evacuation areas
 • seal off and patrol the areas to prevent unauthorized entry
 • Arrange for electricity and gas to be turned off in the evacuated areas.

You're thinking of the wrong spot. The ramp from WB Glenmore to either NB or SB Deerfoot is about half a kilometer west of the river. The exit from NB Deerfoot to WB Glenmore is the one that closes all the time (Near the Mercedes Dealership and the Sears Whole Home Store). You can still get to EB Glenmore.

Anywhere within the black outlined areas - evacuate: purple shading is expected 100 yr flood inundation area (which this could very well be)

Im thinking of the ramp on heritage dr se that goes right under the glenmore. Frequently floods, even when the rainfall is moderate. Not sure if that is the ramp in question here

At 1pm the Bow was at ~2.6M and Elbow ~2.2M (they are probably higher now)

The peak for the Bow in 2005 was 3m and Elbow 3.5M.

With the peak 12 hours from now I would expect them to rise a decent amount more, probably getting close to 2005 if not surpassing it.

Sweet we are ok then... thank you for that!

Please be sure to send out volunteer info as it is needed. We will be in the area and are available to help.

Where is this information and how often is it updated? It's much higher than it was at 1pm, from a visual basis.

AB Enviro's site. Google or its been linked a couple times in this thread. Constant updates of flow and water levels accross each river and its basin

Most neighbours gone or going. Was just checking all the single mom's sump pumps on the street! Not as sexy as it sounds. Both pumps on either side are going occasionally. Ours is bone dry so far.

those pictures are awful, we are in the valley of Discovery not the ridge. One neighbour just said the houses backing on Griffiths woods (not backing on the river itself) have water in their yards.

back to work!
