Kings are looking to upgrade on a forward position by downgrading a defenseman in a 2 for 2 type deal.

Alternatively, I would also consider shipping out a defenseman without a roster player coming back, but I would need to save some cap in the deal in that case.

I would like to keep my defensive core of Letang, Carlson, Gardiner, Fowler but I would not be opposed to moving them in the right deal.

However I am open to hearing out offers to downgrading/send out players like Kesler/Mike Smith/Burrows/Cammalleri/Williams/Vermette and possibly Chris Stewart for good prospects. The two guys that will most likely not be moved is Voynov and Marc Staal. If you are wondering about Mike Smiths value, take a look at what I dealt Niemi for before his vezina candidate season. Somewhere around that type of value.

I am also open to packaging some of our good prospects for a good RFA forward/defenseman.
