I know its not really important, but I was also curious if Iggy was on the ice for that goal. I honestly thought it was him in that 3 man hug at the end, but just rewinded the game, and it was Niskanen.

Was confused why I was sure it was Iggy, and then realized it was because it originally looked like Iggy was joining the rush, that, and the "2" on Niskanen looked like a 12 lol.

You can see Iggy with the 3 other players in the shot, but then in the next shot, he's heading towards the bench while the other 3 are on the rush.

And of course, the final hug.

Yeah rewatched it. The announcers+cp talking like it was iggy coloured my viewing on the replay. Plus him being near the back of the walls and only a split second, made it easy to see things. My initial impression was that he was behind the play as well. No iggy.

It still feels surreal. He played well though, good to see.

Too bad we didn't win the lottery in 2005.

Well they did give up a breakaway from the offensive blue line in while the game was still 0-0, but Vokoun bailed them out.

And guys with low hockey IQ and former 20 goal scorers were Darryl's thing, not the current regime. I'm not a big fan of the current guys either at this point, but at least call them out for their own mistakes, not the previous guy's.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Penguins overcame a bloody injury to Sidney Crosby on Saturday for their 15th straight victory, beating the New York Islanders 2-0 in Jermone Iginla's debut behind third-period goals from Matt Cooke and James Neal.

There was one very poor turnover. It occurred toward the end of Neal-Malkin-Iggy's best shift, I believe Niskanen tapped his stick, Depres tried to go D to D and Grabner? stole it for a breakaway.

Guys, feel free to complain to Root about our announcers. We don't like Steiggy at all but Errey is a good time lol, just a huge homer but thats okay he was overly excited today, like most of the city to see Iggy in black blue and gold.

We have a legend, Mike Lange on the radio w/ Phil Bourque doing the color. It's 105.9 The X, not sure if you're restricted from listening to that in Canada but it may be worth a shot.

Eh I'm already mostly over it. Honestly I thought I would be too devastated to watch him in any other uniform and I was, but it's already to the point that it doesn't really phase me at all. I'm just excited at the prospect of drafting a good young player this year that can hopefully step in and make an impact in the next couple years.

It took Iggy actually leaving to make me realize that that the team will go on without him, as it did before he joined the team. Anyways thought he played well, not stand out great but first game with a new team, will be some growing pains to be sure.
