I got mine earlier this week. Overall it's a great phone, especially for the price.
Coming from an iPhone 5, there are some things I found it did better. Bluetooth Audio integration with my car was much clearer. I'm back to plugging in through 3.5 mm headphone jack, as it is not recognized as a USB device either. Not a big deal, but it was a bit of a disappointment.
Overall reception is great. I've played around with changing it to LTE, but the battery gets killed. It runs android better than any other hardware I've seen, and the screen is beautiful - Although there is some light leak I notice when using the phone in a dark room with low brightness.
Definitely something you can be excited about, does not disappoint.

Why would you switch from an iphone 5 which is less than 4 months old to this?
Did you change your cell company to Wind or Mobilicity?

Anyone that ordered in the recent batch in Canada get any kind of update? Mine still says "Dec 3. Google Canada Corp. received your order." and that's it.

I ordered from the U.S. store, so it may be different, but I didn't get any updates until it shipped.

It's hard to say for sure, but I haven't seen anyone say they had ordered Dec 3 and had received an update. I don't think any phones have shipped yet. I can't wait to have mine ship, so I can stop compulsively checking any site several times a day that might have any info.

If you are in the 3-4 week shipping group, Google expects to ship the phones out on January 3.

I wouldn't expect anything before the New Year. It sounds like those 1-2 week or 4-5 week estimates were pretty much BS and everyone's looking at a 4+ week wait from their order date.
Though I've read that some Google customer service people are saying that those timelines are after Google gets them in stock which they don't expect for another 2-3 weeks. So a 1-2 week at order time will really be 4-5 weeks. If that's true I feel sorry for anyone who got stuck in the 4-5 week group; they might be waiting a couple of months between ordering and actually getting their phone.

I've been reading on some forums that yesterday some Dec 3 orders have started to be filled. It seems that most people are still waiting, though.

Hmmm, I guess there's hope yet. I wish Google Customer Service would be a little more up front with the timelines. Two days ago they were saying the wait could be weeks for people in Canada and now they're sending out shipping notices. I can certainly understand they don't want to be pinned down to any specifics in case something goes wrong, but a little more transparency would be nice.

The latter, at this point I don't think it would make a big difference though.

Wowsers, I was in the 3-4 week category and just got an e-mail that my Nexus 4 has shipped!
Edit: estimated delivery date is December 19.
