You can only win an entry by buying Lions lottery tickets, and successfully scratching the "money booth" icon. I don't know what the odds of winning are.

Oh that's right, I remember seeing those Lions Lottery symbols all over it.
Thanks for the heads up.

Was down at the stampede last night with the wife for the chucks. Had to grab a beer from one of those fill from the bottom Bud draft things, not too bad, should have them at the dome next year now that Budweiser is our beer sponsor. Races were excellent, show was good, fireworks were great. Best part of the night was our walk out of the grounds. One drunken brawl by the ferris wheel, two on one drunken fight by the mouse coaster, Parents with kids in strollers still wondering around the grounds, passed out girl on a haybail with her pants halfway down her butt, walking downwind from the Cowboys tent that smelled like an old distillery, urine and puke, and crossing in a crosswalk and almost being run over by a car load of drunks. Haven't been out that late in quite some time, very entertaining evening overall and I will be back tomorrow for some more stampede fun! YAHOO!

I think people are burned out from the Stampede. All the bars seem dead tonite.

yeah...
and WTF Rose n Crown, for the second weekend of stampede you hire a jazz/funk band who can't play a lick of country for your stampede patio??? I understand doing something to differentiate yourself but seriously?? wtf?
They were a pretty decent band, but in the complete wrong venue, as such I will hate them forever.
and here comes the rain downtown, got home just in time... suckers...

I drove past The Back Alley tonight, and there was maybe 20 cars in the parking lot. I was thinking the exact same thing.

I went down today and the area around Nashville North was nuts. The grounds were packed.
I have to wonder though if some of the parents know how their daughters dress in public.
then there's the incredible fat chick wearing the daisy dukes and skin tight midriff exposing T-Shirts, Corn Dog and lemonade coming back up is not a pleasant experience.

If their gut is bigger than their breasts with the belly button available for all to see, stay away. Stay far away.
Saw an aforementioned chick with tattoos of guns on her belly pointing towards her hoo-ha the other day on the grounds. Suddenly I didn't feel like finishing my mini donuts.

I've spent way too much money at the Stampede, mostly on games. If my calculation is correct I've spent about $600 just on games. And I have not one single prize to show for. I've won lots, and mostly big prizes at the basketball games, but I just give them away because I don't want to hold them.
Just thinking about that makes me feel silly, but it was a fun year.

And I was feeling stupid for spending $170 on a bicycle seat yesterday. Thanks for putting that in perspective!

For drunken escapades, gotta give to the 10 lads from England wearing kilts on Thursday at Nashville North. They came over for a stag, just landed 2 hours prior, got to NN at about 1:30 and were absolutely blitzed by 2. Drunken dancing on the dance floor, mouthing off local guys, ran the gamut with every women in the tent, from 18-year-old cowgirl skanks all the way to the middle-aged cougars with leathery skin, then went about barfing in inopportune places that cleared the area. Later that night, saw them again at the French Maid paying exorborant amounts of money for private peep shows, all the while still drenched in that beer/piss smell. Basically your standard soccer hooligans after a team win (or loss, doesn't really matter). Good fun to watch them in action!

Me and my buddy saw some nasty sh** go down at the Beer Gardens tonight. Some guy pukes, and then some other guy comes over and starts air humping it for a good minute. He starts screaming and running around then comes back and gives it to the puke some more for a good 2 minutes, then starts pounding the ground around the puke, then grabs someones hat, rubs it in the puke and wears it.
He then proceeds to yell for 10 seconds and runs around again.
10 minutes later we notice him pop back. There was a table with 6 or 7 hot girls and he just storms in, hands all over them trying to talk them up, and within seconds they bail.
That thundershower was pretty intense to, only lasted like 10 minutes, and in the 10 minutes I was in a line to get a Cheese Cake.
The Stampede absolutely cleared out when it started raining.

Can't remember them all, but there was:
Steak/Beef
Ham & Eggs
Sliced Hot Dogs
An Italian one?
And there was one without gravy - had hollandaise or something but I can't remember!
We tried the regular poutine and it was quite good.
