People who use classic controls are inferior than those that don't in my opinion. It just feels so much better, and once you get used to it you can do so much more

I could never go back to classic controls. My right thumb IS the skill stick, I don't know how people don't use the control stick.

EA's biggest innovation in the series, the skill stick, was an amazing idea and revolutionized the game. It would be nice if they had one of those kind of big innovations every now and again. Unfortunately it takes them a decade to come up with one.

I would say to an extent that Board Play was a pretty big innovation but it isn't really utilized that great, it is too sticky, there isn't enough control when your in board play to be effective.

Or when you are going full speed around the back of the net, with more of your shoulder/back to the boards, and the CPU still manages to board play you.

It's a terrible feature with it's current flaws. Same with the diving poke check. Absolute garbage.

Now, I don't care about fighting in the video game, but...

I would if it wasn't so fundamentally broken. It's like a 15 year regression.

i've tried default but it just doesn't feel right, plus i always suck at stick lift. classic still has the same deking system and i do dekes fine.....also anybody still playing HUT on PS3 i'm done with the game after today so will have lots of nice cards to put up including 99 Perry, 97 Vermette, 99 Lundy.....if you're around tonight send me a friend request at stamptheseflames or pop me a message and i'll let you know when i put the cards up for 200 BIN

It is so much of a regression...I remember 2000's felt like actual fighting...quick punching, but tactical because of the stamina bar. 2006's was slow and felt more like boxing. Now...I'm playing a mini-game where all I do is tap the D-pad and aim.

When you create your team on the HUT demo, is that your team when you purchase the game? I'd love to get a head start on that.

i don't think so i think it's just you get an extra pack? could be wrong but i'm fairly sure i read that somewhere

Yea, if AI doesn't really improve I'll be hanging around HUT and EASHL a lot more. Look for me to come back full-time on the PS3 EASHL team!

I was really excited when they said they had gotten inspiration from Fight Night for fighting. It ended up being just as boring as before.

You need to be able to move around and be able to punch with both hands to make fighting realistic. The one hand glued to his jersey thing is ridiculous.

I think the rosters are accurate as of August 27th, or some date like that. So he should be on the Flames at release.
