Yeah, the Bears have lucked out getting dome teams on their gravel-esque field. Im just upset that they dont play the Saints a little further down the road so they can once again eliminate them from playoff contention. Its been far too long, 2008 I think.

The angel that was on the Chicago Bears’ shoulder pads last season certainly wasn’t in the room when NFL administrators were putting together the team's 2011 schedule.
Their schedule that was released Tuesday is going to make it more difficult for the Bears and it ultimately might cost them a game or two. There are potholes all along the road to the postseason.
The first one comes in August, when the Bears have to play a fifth preseason game. An extra game means more wear and tear on players and more exposure to potential injury.
Then comes the start of the regular season. The Bears’ first three opponents -- the Falcons, Saints and Packers -- had a combined winning percentage last season of .708. Going 0-3 to start the year is a distinct possibility.
The Bears were given four night games, three of them in a brutal four-game stretch that includes a trip to London. An overseas trip by itself usually takes a toll on a team.
This stretch is going to wreak havoc with the Bears’ body clocks and their routines. NFL teams hate to have their routines disrupted, and sometimes respond by coming unraveled.
Finally, the Bears finish the season with games against their two primary rivals, the Packers and Vikings. Both games are on the road. Both are on holidays -- the Packers on Christmas and the Vikings on New Year’s Day.

LOL, ya I always liked the Bears but hated them during that span.
btw, if you're wondering what we've been up to since then, we've gone 24-8 and won a Super Bowl.

Judge Nelson rules to grant the injunction to lift the lockout. She sides with the NFLPA. Appeal is sure to come by the NFL. Stay tuned

Doesnt really mean anything at this point...there will be a stay issued after the league appeals and then, as has been the story all along, this thing will start to get settled in a courtroom.
What i find odd is how the NFLPA can win an injunction....when it doesnt exist anymore.

I think the actual ruling is for Brady. The official name of the suit is Brady v. NFL IIRC... Or am I thinking of something else? Between this situation and the GWI-Hulsizer-NHL debacle I'm finding that I am now, way under-educated to be a sports fan

Ummm....what does this mean??
@AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
Big influence in Judge Nelson's decision: V. Jackson. Vikes willing to pay him $18 million for 2 seasons; Chargers paid him $682,000 for 1.

It looks like the 49ers will see a familiar name at QB - Alex Smith.
During the short window last week, Coach Harbaugh has Smith come in and he was seen leaving with a playbook. He has been working out with the other 49ers in the area, so the playbook will give him a head start on Colin Kaepernick (a name I will need to learn to spell), and David Carr will be fighting for a backup spot if he isn't released outright.
I'm sure the Niners are wanting time to tutor Kaepernick without the weight of the world on his shoulders; and if Smith suddenly flourishes under an offensive system then so much the better.
But I doubt the home fans will show A Smith much patience. A couple bad series and the boo birds will be out in full force.

Yeah, I thought Benson was pretty committed to NOLA at this point, although the guy did try to pull a scumbag move after Katrina.

Saints need to get a new venue if they're gonna stay in NO. If that can't get done, then they'll probably go to Toronto if LA gets a team by then.
The team has a special place in the area though. It would be better for it to stay.
