Fantenberg has looked solid and reliable as well in the bottom pairing. I still would expect Valimaki to be called up soon.

I looked on AHL.com and Tyler Parsons hasn't played in a game since February 13. Stockton has long since been eliminated from playoff contention. Does anyone know why he isn't getting any starts?.

Nice article about Gillies and his rebound from a rough first half of the season:
https://theahl.com/mental-reset-help...ng-second-half
Quote:
”I remember we played Colorado, a Saturday night there,” Gillies started. “We won, 6-2. I remember looking at Zuli after the game and saying that may be one of the worst hockey games I’ve played in a long time, but we ended up getting some bounces and getting the win. I’ve found that pretty funny to look back on. I thought I was pretty bad, but getting the win was big for me.”
Since that Saturday night in Colorado, Gillies has started all but one game, entering this weekend having earned the nod in 13 straight. Over that span he has returned to form, to the tune of a record of 8-4-1 and a .914 save percentage. In his eight wins in that stretch, Gillies has made 255 stops on 275 shots faced –- a .938 save percentage.

Parsons made 36 saves on 39 shots and stopped all 3 attempts in the shootout in a Stockton 4-3 win. Glad to see Tyler play well despite the long time between games.

Aritcle says that it is looking more and more likely that Hogstrom will return to Sweden next year. Djugarden's GM is keeping a roster spot open and it sounds like he has a high degree of confidence that Hogstrom will be with the team.
Hogstrom still has NHL dreams and would accept another NHL contract if offered.

This has probably already been explained, but can someone elaborate as to why does the pacific division plays 8 fewer games than any other division in the AHL and how does that impact the standings?
Edit: Ahh, it appears they just take the top four teams in each division. Got it.

The Heat are officially out of the playoffs and their season will end after their final regular season game next Sunday against Bakersfield.
After tonight's game, the Flames can officially have 4 players from the Heat on non-emergency recalls on the roster to start the playoffs (they currently have Quine and Valimaki on regular recalls and Dube on an emergency recall). Once the Heat play their final game, the Flames can recall as many "Black Aces" from the Heat as they want.

Heat lost 1-0 at Manitoba last night. Gillies stopped 30 out of 31.
Heat are getting their revenge today though, as they are already up 6-1 after two. Lomberg has two goals, Gawdin has three assists. Parsons has stopped 27 of 28.

Parsons made 51 saves in a 4-2 win over Ontario tonight.
Didn’t watch it but he must have played a great game.
