is it bad that I need to get a new computer for work, I am a huge apple fanboy, but I'm having 2nd thoughts about getting the 27" iMac bc I'm not sure if I will like playing Diablo on it? I have always played Diablo on PC... Im so torn.. Any mac guys that can reassure me that playing on the mac will be ok?
for what it's worth, I played the beta on my white macbook laptop, (scraping the bottom system requirements here now) and the graphics were still pretty decent, about on par with diablo 2, i did have to turn some stuff down for it though.
In other words, if you're selling commodities and you want to turn your profits into real cash (not Battle.net funds), you'll have to pay Blizzard a 15% sales fee, then a 15% transfer fee. If you're selling equipment and you want to turn your profits into cash, you'll have to pay a $1/item sales fee, then a 15% transfer fee.
People seem upset about this, but it seems not unreasonable to me. App stores take a similar cut, pawn shops, etc.
But I'm not thinking of playing to farm items, though it is nice to know that if I get some random godly drop I can sell it for real $$ safely

If this was 8 years ago (D2), I could see myself as a seller.
Sadly (or perhaps not so sad), today I see myself actually using the RMAH to buy things to further my enjoyment of the game.
Not sure why people are flipping out over this though. It's really not that bad. $1 on equipment means that unique items like a Windforce or whatever that goes for $200 is a huge net profit that could be used for other Blizzard stuff. Then if you want to cash out, 15% is not terrible either.
Like you guys though, if I do find something really really cool, I might just end up selling it on the RMAH. It's not a big deal if you're not trying to make a living off of it.
i dislike the RMAH simply due to the fact that it's furthering the trend of paying real money for virtual items. and that i'm sure the gold auction house will be full of common garbage while all the stuff worth buying will end up on the RMAH

At least this guy will get rich.

Maybe...
Players will still be motivated to gain in-game currency so selling in the main auction house will still be pursued.
That said, it will come down to how well Blizzard can control the third party "chinese farmers" who might buy stuff off the in-game AH and sell it on the real life AH.
Haven't really read too much about how the whole AH system works - honestly it's probably a feature I won't use too much.
OK, for those that haven't played D1 and/or D2 here is a really quick (but enjoyable) "get up to speed" video. For those not wanting to spoil anything for D3 lore, I don't see anything here that should be a problem.
Spoiler!

You still have a good month or 2 before you are due to hate Diablo 3, you have time.
And I may just hate it if certain things haven't changed since I tried the beta months ago!
More than likely I play it with gleeful abandon. Blizzard has a habit of never really letting me down that much. My hate for WoW was even softened by just how bad SW:ToR was (I'll never admit just how close that game came to pushing me right back into the WoW fold to friends and family).
