I just started watching a little bit ago... how did Felix lose the first set? Lots of crappy serving, or...?

He failed to convert 1000 break points

He was 0/8 on break point chances in the first set. Just couldn't take advantage of his opportunities

That was an awful call. First of all, it's a let if the ball comes out of your pocket. Second, he yelled "LET" while Felix was hitting. Then he takes it back? That's nuts.

The fact Felix didn't allow that garbage call to rattle him is really good. There's some hot heads that would completely unravel after that kind of call.

Tiafoe has played a great set but somehow he's angry and complaining to his box because he's behind in a Felix service game. Very odd attitude.

Huge hold by Felix right there including making that volley that knocked him on his keester.

This match is a crazy high level right now. The winner will take on Alcaraz after the 18 year old came back to win.

Tiafoe couldn't win a point on his serve and now it's somehow unassailable. Just so weird.

Felix needs some different shorts apparently as he keeps losing the ball.

Another solid hold.

Is there a breeze about to come next now?

Felix hits one of the filthiest volleys I've ever seen to get up two set points and on the second one dumps an easy forehand into the net.

He's also too predictable right now. Keeps running around the second serve to hit a forehand, which is fine, but it's always cross court.

And how do you not at least make him consider hitting a volley there? Damn that's annoying.

I like both of these players, a pretty fun match to watch.

Felix seems to be very poised.

That was a crazy good return by Tiafoe and an even better half-volley by Felix.

Wow pretty basic UE from Tiafoe to end the 3rd set in FAA's favour there.

We will take it!

This is literally the best I think Tiafoe has. He's serving like some sort of Olympian God. He is making every shot and making basically no errors. Under pressure, he's saved multiple set points. He's volleying as well as I've ever seen.

And he just lost the set.

That has to be demoralizing.

You say that but it wasn't. It was pure genius from Felix. As I noted before, every time before, Felix has run around that second serve and hit a forehand cross court. No doubt that's what Frances was expecting. Instead he took it a bit earlier and put it right up the middle and deep. No time to react. Perfect time to change it up on a set point. Fantastic idea.

Just tuned in. Was that Uncle Tony in Felix’s box?
