I think the fact that the house was so well taken care of was the major hint. Lots of food, almost no signs of walkers in the area...seems like a good place for people to settle in for the long term (and Daryl/Beth do just that).
Compounded with the fact that it's unlikely Beth would have ever dropped her bag and there was a mysterious car (likely) running off with her and it seems kind of convenient.

Also the fact that walkers came in through two doors. At one point Daryl says the only way in or out is through the front door. Also with that many walkers all at once, but the dog didn't get eaten- tells me all of that was part of the trap.

Yeah I didn't see the trap angle at all when watching it. Makes a lot of sense though. I just thought the dog inadvertently lured a pack of zombies to the door.

Why trap people in the house then release walkers in there? Walkers are unreliable and dangerous and you have to clear them out.
Obviously there's something fishy about the funeral home but a planned walker ambush doesn't really make sense.
Honestly, judging by the seemingly poor writing on this show lately, I wouldn't be surprised if they only used the clean supplies to show that darryl has a soft spot and doesn't wanna steal all of someones supplys.
I guess ive lost faith in the writers to pull something intricate like that anymore. I hope im wrong. I want a sophia in the farm moment again!

I'm going to speculate that it wasn't a kidnapping, but that the residents came home and found the place in trouble. Beth probably came running out, they found her, and put her in the car and took off thinking they saved her (all the while she's probably screaming for them to wait for Darryl).

I was thinking the same thing, except Daryl lost her in the evening, he kept following the road until daylight and they still didn't come back?

Did anyone else see the whole Daryl laying the casket as some pretty blatant foreshadowing? But then again, the writing on the show has always struck me as pretty elementary, it could have been done without intention and have no bearing whatsoever on his storyline.

Just guessing, like I said I didn't think of the trap angle when I was watching it...so it's just a guess. Not to mention someone earlier said it reminded them of a scene from The Road, that scene involved cannibals.

Why would they want to? Probably like Sasha with Tyrese, they just figured he would most likely be dead and it isn't worth the risk going back for him.

Maybe just to trap and kill people to keep whatever dwindling supplies there are available for themselves. Maybe they are getting pissed off that whenever they go to loot a house, everything is already gone except the pigs feet. They probably have their own zombie apocalypse gear grinders.
"it RGMG when I find a house, it has already been looted, and they didn't even bother to dispatch the walkers inside... "

Yup, I had the original thought, and the follow up thought. Haha, sometimes crappy writing has it's advantages.
The flashback with Bob was pretty good. Not a whole lot great about the rest of the episode though, really didn't like the main storyline with Maggie waiting around for the other girl cause she didn't wanted her to give up. Seemed like an unnecessarily complicated trope just to get back to what they were doing anyway.
Terminus better be really cool. Of course, it's starting to feel like it might be rather sinister, hopefully it's not just Woodbury 2.0.
So far the most interest I've had is that group of 'army' guys and if the scientist they have really has good information about the zombie plague.

It wasn't because Maggie didn't want her to give up, it was because Maggie said she couldn't go alone and needed their help.

That guy that plays the mayor on SOA always cracks me up and I think he will do good as a villain. Good to see more villains introduced so we can move past the character background episodes. I still can't understand why that one girl didn't want to go with Maggie and Bob to Terminus. The whole "She didn't want to find out if Tyreese is alive or dead" side story was really lame as nobody would ever be that stupid to just shack up by themselves rather than follow the group to a possible meeting point where everyone may get united.
