I was really impressed by Kostin last time the Flames played them. Not that you're wrong, but we have to wring hands to get AHL callups.

Well we don’t have a 23 year old Lucic like player…. Which would be nice to have in the fold with the rest of our prospects. He’s similar to Crouse.

Kostin is highly overrated, marginal NHL player. As stated by many, a warm body is going to get 30+ pts flanking McDavid and/or Draisaitl (with the exception of defensive specialist JP). Let’s not get too excited.

Remember when Yamamoto was over a point a game for a 25 or 30 game stretch, and Oiler fans were declaring him a stud?
Anyone playing wing in the top 6 is going to get some points, that doesn't make them a great player.
See: Chaisson, Puljujarvi, Kassian, Lestestu, Strome, Foegele...

I hate the Oilers too but Kostin is better than a marginal NHL player. He's shown skill, tenacity and toughness. He's obviously on a heater right now but let's not discount the guys abilities. I'd take him on the Flames over a number of guys. He adds a dimension the Oilers have been missing since Kane has been out.
