- 1500 criminals involved with trying to overthrow the 2020 election on behalf of Trump given full pardons
- bows out of the Paris Agreement (joining Libya, Iran and Yemen)
- windmills are bad
- Musk gives the Nazi salute onstage (twice)
- sounds like 25% tariffs for Canada on Feb. 1
Just so I understand correctly.........there are Canadians that actually support this lunatic? What a complete disaster of a day.
You should start by booting these Canadians' off the board from this thread.

A lot of Canadians I've talked to support him simply because it was a white man vs a black woman. A lot of people have very little understanding of any actual policy.

In hockey players shockingly being republican news. Teemu Selanne and Al McInnis with pro trump posts today.
Hockey players are generally very dim. They do as little schooling as possible to realize their dreams. Not a surprise when the best of them are dimwitted R words in terms of political and world views.

Canadians that are locked into rabbit holes and can't think for themselves? Yes.

I have heard so many people say they don’t really follow the news but inflation is bad and he will fix it because he’s a businessman.

A businessman that could have invested his inheritance in the S&P 500, done nothing for 45 years, and would have more money than he currently claims to have.
Hopefully misinformation merchants like her, are sued out of office!
First of all, it’s “precedent”. Second of all, the legal finding of the judge was that “rape’ was an accurate term in Trump’s attempt to sue EJ Carroll for using that term. The fact ABC caved in is irrelevant.

But then those folks living in their about to be repossessed trailer home wouldnt have gold sneakers now would they?
I'm guessing the US will more or less be pretty much the same in 2029. A US civil war will not have happened between 2025 and 2029, there won't be any sort of massive collapse of their financial system or market, and the ultra wealthy and rich will continue to run America.
You know I was pretty sure the risk of civil war was at a risk level way too far above 0, but the way that the left in general is rolling over and accepting this tells me that it is way more likely the left supplicates to whatever slightly watered down worst tendencies of Trump the right is able to grit their teeth and pretend to make a rational argument for.
This is not a good timeline, the guardrails are not tall enough to fight whatever is coming.
Apparently the Proud Boys were assembled at the Canadian Embassy in DC today chanting ;"Fifty-First State!". It was reported in a CBC story, but there was no video.
The Proud Boys are designated as a terrorist group in Canada.

"Better than Trump" is an incredibly low bar, and sometimes you have to use a different lense.
Warfronts here has a pretty scathing analysis of Bidens foreing policy, basically describing it as a series of unforced errors and half-measures leading to full or partial failures.
Personally I think it's somewhat unfair to put it all on Biden and his administration, since they really were left with terrible cards by Trumps, and Haiti especially has very little to with Bidens administration specifically. There are also what you might call structural reasons, like the internal political division leading to the massive distractions, Jan 6th and it's long aftermath, and the pretty literally neverending election seasons.
Still... Yeah it was pretty bad for the most part.
