Still doing my daily FC mock, and I'm still snagging Hage on the consensus ranking with the Vancouver first. I really, really hope the draft shakes out that way.
This one was cool too, Tij did go to montreal, but I was able to take Buium at 9 as a result. Buium and Hage out of the first round is a total dream...
Yakemchuk's age makes him a little less attractive in my mind.
It is possible that his size and age advantage against teenagers is nullified against men in the pros which is always the concern with players like this. Several puntits have him as high as top 5 so there seems to be a lot of differing opinions on him.
I'm at the point where come draft day it doesn't matter who we pick, I will feel like we made the wrong choice because this team and sport in general has made me neurotic.

Moreso than any draft in recent memory, I'm confident they can't #### this up.
Either Tij is there and they draft him, or we get great defenseman, or a centre.
I don't need the 9th overall pick to save the franchise - if he's a reliable 60-point player, that's a home run from that position.
Plus throw in the intrigue of maybe landing #10 from New Jersey, and it's shaping up to be a fun night.
Teenage hockey boy from Alberta? Good bet he's a dbag. That's not excluding anyones kids here either.

Yakemchuk gets a beauty pass in my mind simply because he seems like a true Calgary boy/Flames fan on X, whereas his brothers both seem to be much more Oilers-centric.
"I think the most popular question the teams have asked me is just about my playmaking ability," Lindstrom said. "And I have full confidence in my playmaking ability. As far as my injury, I'm feeling great. I'm working out five or six times a week, skating three-to-four times a week. Everything's going well and I'm healing up pretty quickly."
