Due to Demidov not being there, this makes sense as Levshunov is the only other realistic option for them. And I think it’s a real option.

That would be a pretty great draft. Swanson is a cool sleeper pick. Basha and Tij would be awesome to land up front.

Still doing my daily FC mock, and I'm still snagging Hage on the consensus ranking with the Vancouver first. I really, really hope the draft shakes out that way.

This one was cool too, Tij did go to montreal, but I was able to take Buium at 9 as a result. Buium and Hage out of the first round is a total dream...

I like both. But a RHS Reggie type D man is always nice to have in your stable.
Yakemchuk's age makes him a little less attractive in my mind.

It is possible that his size and age advantage against teenagers is nullified against men in the pros which is always the concern with players like this. Several puntits have him as high as top 5 so there seems to be a lot of differing opinions on him.

I honestly can’t see them passing on a big Centre like Lindstrom if he happens to fall to five.

Suzuki/Lindstrom/Caufield/Slaf is a really good group of forwards to build around.

I'm at the point where come draft day it doesn't matter who we pick, I will feel like we made the wrong choice because this team and sport in general has made me neurotic.

Moreso than any draft in recent memory, I'm confident they can't #### this up.

Either Tij is there and they draft him, or we get great defenseman, or a centre.

I don't need the 9th overall pick to save the franchise - if he's a reliable 60-point player, that's a home run from that position.

Plus throw in the intrigue of maybe landing #10 from New Jersey, and it's shaping up to be a fun night.

If I were them I would pick him. But I can't figure out most of what they do.

Yakemchuk gets a beauty pass in my mind simply because he seems like a true Calgary boy/Flames fan on X, whereas his brothers both seem to be much more Oilers-centric.

"I think the most popular question the teams have asked me is just about my playmaking ability," Lindstrom said. "And I have full confidence in my playmaking ability. As far as my injury, I'm feeling great. I'm working out five or six times a week, skating three-to-four times a week. Everything's going well and I'm healing up pretty quickly."

Zeev continues to give me the College hibijibis
Good thing is he should be gone by the time the Flames pick.
