Currently, golf is not under the 10 people rule because I think golf can maintain the 2 meter distancing rule. This rule looks to me like it governs sports that couldn't maintain the 2 meter distance as soccer and basketball.
The following 2 documents only mandate not sharing golf cart and seem to put golf in a separate category from other "outdoor sports".

Says nothing about individual sports. The page where you are reading that hasn't been updated since Feb 8th.

That reads to me like the restrictions apply to golf.
So you can golf with your spouse or two others in your bubble if you are alone.

I really hope you guys are right and I'm wrong.
Would imagine we'd hear more at the presser tomorrow at 10am.
Most of my family is in Ontario and they can't do anything.

This includes:
all group physical activities, such as team sports, fitness classes, training sessions
all one-on-one lessons and training activities
all practices, training and games"
Golf doesn't fit the above description as it's not a team sports, fitness class or training session. It's just something you do by yourself. I have a feeling that golf doesn't need to be with your own family but driving range might need to cut down to leaving every other stall empty. Hope I'm right, fingers crossed.

^ so in practice, what does that actually mean? Are courses going to be overrun by twosomes from the same household now?

There will be explanation today I imagine. I expect golf to be unchanged.

Other than 1 person to a power cart and the closure of clubhouse patio's, things will be much the same.

I booked an indoor swing assessment at modern golf for this week and that got canceled from the restrictions last week. Then I booked a set of semi-private outdoor lessons and those are canceled too.
I think the government is conspiring against my golf game.

I hope you guys are right. Realistically, there is no chance of spread while people play golf and there shouldn't be any changes. I can see not having tournaments and things of that nature, but 4 people playing a round of golf basically never come within any close distance of each other with proper precautions.

With COVID is anywhere doing demo clubs this season? Hoping to try out two drivers and a fairway wood or two.

I wonder about golf leagues though as you are not playing with your household and in fact with complete strangers. I would bet these are postponed till June for now. Apparently AHS does not allow shot gun starts, not sure why though, perhaps they think too many people will be hanging out around the pro shop?

Yeah I think it's the gathering. They had that last year also. They were saying that tournaments we're not going this year, but leagues were OK...until yesterday anyway.

Leagues are still okay under the new restrictions. Like last year no gatherings to give out the results and prizes. Results and prizes emailed to members.

When were shotgun starts not allowed? Was that new this year?
I participated in a few last year.
