I wouldn't say most people on cp are "objective" when it comes to the Jets or their players.

I'm a Raiders fan and we've had the debates on Raiders forums. It's not slam dunk that either is better at the other at this point. If Aso moves to another team in the offseason we may get a better idea of who's better as he would likely seem more balls thrown his way than he does in Oakland. Aso is Iginla-like in his class so what ever team he goes to will get a great person in addition to a great player.

Champ Bailey is the best shutdown corner in the NFL.

I think the Jets crowd is just overly sensitive to any criticism. I don't hate the Jets at all. In fact I like Rex Ryan and several of their players. That doesn't change the fact that they were terribly overhyped coming into the season and really haven't proved all that much this year.
For the record if I had to pick the 5 best corners in the league it would probably look like this:
1. Aso
2. Woodson
3. Revis
4. Tramon Williams
5. Bailey/Samuel

Thanks for putting words in my mouth. I never said Revis was better please show me where I did. I said it's impossible to say who is better. Different schemes. Different teammates. Another thing to consider besides all the other points which have been ignored is Revis plays on a team that blitzes way more than anyone else in the league. This causes the QB to throw to the 1st target on a play so he doesn't get sacked. Guess what that's more often and not the #1 receiver.
Wouldn't expect less from someone who still called the Jets overrated when no one was picking them to win last week.
I don't know what statistic if any can show who's better. Aso gets thrown at less, but Revis is always on the best receiver and plays in a blitz happy team. Revis has a better QB rating against stat (meaning of the times he is targeted the plays turn out in his favor more often) than Aso, but Aso probably is only targeted at times where a completion is likely. Revis never commits holding or PI penalties (Can't find official stats but I can't remember the last time he did). I remember Aso being called a couple times this year. I think they are too close to say who is better because of the differences stated above.
Funny that Champ Bailey was mentioned because that big Jets homer says Revis is the best. I think he probably knows more about the cornerback position than all of us combined..
Please ignore all my reasoning with just saying Aso is better, because obviously you guys have nothing to back it up with.

Go watch the film of the last time the Patriots played the Jets. How many times did Brady throw at Revis? ZERO!
So in 2 games against the best 2 QBs in the league he was targeted once on a screen pass.

22 other teams wish they were the Jets right now... I am not sensitive to criticism at all as long as it is valid criticism backed up by sound logic which the Jets haters on here don't have. You calling the Jets overrated last week when not one person was picking them to win is hilarious and illogical. And they are in the 2nd round of the playoffs and they have proved nothing?

Get over yourself. 22 teams wish they were in the same position as the Jets right now.
I find it hard to fathom that 22 teams wish they were run by a loud mouth (albeit fantastically effective) head coach, wish they had sexual harassment lawsuits against them and had one of their coaches suspended indefinately.
Although I could be wrong, Lions fans will wish for just about anything these days.

I was talking more about the playoff game on Sunday. Bowe didn't get a single pass thrown his way.

Rex is pretty cool. Any guy who makes fetish videos of his wife and puts them on the internet is awesome.

Why are you guys arguing with a Jets fan? Dont you know they are the best team of all time ever in the history of football every year they play. If you need proof their coach says so. Sanchez is the greatest human to ever throw a football. Shonne Green is the best running back in the league Braylon Edwards catches balls no other reciever can ect..
I dont know if there are more arrogant fans on the planet than Jets fans. 1969 superbowl was the best win in pro football its like it happened yesterday. clearly they have rode the success of that win year after year to be as great as they currently are.
JETS (Just end their season)

I actually think the Jets are not going to win. I think you haters are worse than the arrogant fans. Sanchez is still in the bottom half of the qbs in the NFL hell probably bottom 10. But, you are good putting words in my mouth just like all the other Jets haters.

We have paid a high price to be as arrogant as we are...YEARS/Decades of mediocrity.
Perhaps the Lions fans can be just as arrogant after another decade of futility.

O please, you clearly have not been around a jets fan hell just visit the jets message board.
Ill admit some pats fans can be cocky and arrogant but at least we have something to be cocky and arrogant about what have the jets ever done to warrant this "greatest team ever attitude"? Not labelling all jets fans this but majority that i have seen met or read their writing.
