Let's get back to the previous conversation we had a while back regarding Parka's and winter jacket's! What is everybody rocking these days for warmth ??

Anybody hear of this company before? Anybody live in Winnipeg that knows if a factory actually exists? https://arctic-bay.ca/

The old British Military adage 7 P's apply to weeks like this one. Proper Planning and Preparation Prevent Piss Poor Performance.

Or we can do the Canadian version

Proper Parkas (Canada Goose?) and Preparation Prevents Pissy People Pissed Off!!!

All jokes aside. It's cold out there so stay warm but I am also kidding about the Parka thing. If anybody has indeed purchased a parka like above, I would like to know their thoughts.

No idea who that guy is. Turns out he's some Edmonton weatherman? Who did we have in Calgary before Paul Dunphy?

I barely remember the chalkboard weatherman era. That was quite a thing.

Jimmy Hughes was on Global/2&7 if I recall. Now who was before David Spence on CFCN I cannot remember.

I wouldn't mind the cold so much here in Portland (the lowest it's supposed to hit is about -10C -- for reference, this would be a record low for about 15 days of January), it's snow because people and the city aren't equipped to handle it. The forecasts are calling for anywhere from 3-15 inches and the uncertainty is super annoying. 3 would be workable, 15? People just get completely stupid here and half the city shuts down. Most people don't have snow tires/chains/studs so a lot of people drive when they shouldn't

I thought strugglers who went under the speed limit on roads in the 50-80 range (by anywhere from 10-30km/hr) were bad. Today I encountered a struggler going 15-20 in a completely empty school zone with no cars parked on either side.

Went to school with his daughter. Dar was his last name believe or not. He swapped his names around since he thought it sounded catchier on TV.

It was a joke as the conversation was going the way of "well this could be climate change" as if bone chilling cold weather in the Prairies is some sort of climate change issue. Our warm December could perhaps be attributed in some capacity to that.

The issue we have is that virtually every aspect of every weather event these days is being privately and publicly attributed to climate change when in reality, that is not the case. Not everything is climate change.

Leonardo Di Caprio telling tens of millions of people his version of climate change resulted in witnessing a rapid changing of temperatures and melting snow in Southern Alberta. That is a Chinook but plenty of people consider it climate change.

People's homes being built in high risk areas that are then destroyed by mostly natural events or scenarios is not always climate change, sometimes it's just human stupidity.

Climate change exists and humans are probably playing a role in it as well but not every weather scenario is and a lot of times the lines get blurred.

I recently moved to Seattle.

It's crazy they make passenger vehicles chain up down here.
