This is how they operate the check stops now. Every driver gets tested and if you refuse, you get charged for refusing a breathalyzer.

That's BS. I hope that gets overturned. Such a violation of our rights. Driving isn't a right but not having to randomly give a breathalyzer is and should be my right.

No. Because those are basics.
When pulled over one has to prove that they are licensed and insured. Thats a basic principle.
During Covid having your temperature checked was a basic precaution.
But there have to be limits to moving beyond that.

I think being sober while driving is a basic principle.

I think you could probably make that case if it was something more invasive but it’s just breathing in a tube.
What defines a basic vs “something beyond”? Being selected for the ole’ throat swab coming off a plane? Was that a violation of our rights?

It's a great municipal good, a lot of elderly people dont have any way of getting rid of this stuff, and some folk don't have a truck to haul it away. It's like a community clean up Cranston and other communities do except it's everywhere and at your lawn.

Just got back from Halifax moving our daughter from res to a house. Not an official heavy garbage day but she and her roommates scored so much useful roadside stuff

I think the fear is not having to breath through a tube but for the police to be able to pull over anyone for any reason. Some police agencies are known for profiling so that would be my worry.
I don't even drink but just knowing a cop can pull you over and let make you blow in a tube rubs me the wrong way.
I hate drunk drivers more than anyone but I think there should at least be suspicion.

Why are we submitting to innocence tests? How about they check to see if my taxes are in order? Shouldn't they interview my family for signs of abuse? Whose to say I don't have illegal modifications to my car...get it on jacks since I'm pulled over, anyway. How about a piss test and check me for drug use?
The point is we don't need cops - in spite of a lack of any reason for suspicion - fishing to punish citizens. As a taxpayer and a citizen I don't want to pay cops to spend time harassing people and wasting their (my) time.

So I just found out today that Matt Canada isn't a nick name for a coach named Matt from Canada. Just thought he was a coach from Canada that got that nickname.

I find it absolutely deplorable that people are willing to surrender their Liberty so easily. The one lady at the end who said if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about is the worst kind of human being. She should go live in China or North Korea
